Not on DL though! We’re all refined ladies here.

except for during the game when the inner feral bogan is unleashed

An anxious Sunday wait is on the cards. If our flankers have a good game, Bowey, Rivers, Spargo, Chandler and ANB, this means our mids and KPP’s are doing well and we can play our game and we win. If not we are doomed to this strangle hold the Swans have on us for at least one more game.

Win or lose, I just hope Goody does something different.

GO DEE’s

I expect Clarry and Trucc to get over 30 possies each today.

I will be looking for positives on a probably gloomy day, but hoping for a big turn around.

only 90 mins til casey kick off

Is the football department making a feeble attempt to deceive.
In this morning’s Age TMac named as an emergency and not named as an out.

i find it difficult to believe that the FD go into this game with no Max, or Kozzie, a debutant forward and no TMac, unless of course TMac is genuinely an injury withdrawal.

Round one appeared too easy, like a carry over from practice match conditions. Round two we looked like we were expecting a repeat. Even before Gawn went down we looked like we weren’t prepared that Brisbane might be switched on. Too many still basking in premiership glory and lack hunger. The lingering perception of last seasons second half malaise has not been extinguished yet. This is like a mini line in the sand game. Lose and we will be just another bottom finals 8 hopeful.

The Geelong GF game is the way to beat them :)

But they pressure us relentlessly. Last year they had 14 FWD 50 tackles in the 4th quarter alone.

If you aren't fit and switched on you will lose against this mob.

Can't see us winning. The side looks disjointed and we don't know how to play under  Grundy. It is not a last chance however as next week will have to be the "begining" of our season.

Without max we are like a ship out of water and it takes a while to learn how to float again.

I hope I am wrong.

It's a fair point. But there is a great ammount of talent on our list and I think the cream will rise today. We will certainly come out fighting.

A crucial game for Goodwin in my opinion.

He’s 7-9 since the North win in round 10 last year and coming up against a team and coach he ostensibly can’t beat. This despite every man and his dog continually telling us that our list is generational.

On another matter, St Kilda have ruined the injury excuse for every other other club this season.

With all due respects, whilst I think this is an important game for the team and is a big test, this is not a crucial game for Goodwin.

I mean he win a flag in 2021 and we finished 2nd after the home and away last season.

On saints, let's see where they are at in 6 weeks.

Still a scramble for positions after the green flag from the season starting grid. Some early surprises amongst the front runners. A winning lap here will position red/blue team behind the early ladder leaders in the slipstream and provide opportunity to accelerate through the field and lap those descending down the ladder. No better time to reset after last week’s hiccup and unleash some demonpower on horse and his cart(el).

Try all you like to put your 'pedal to the metal' and a positive 'spin' on thngs.

No amount of high octane or even a new set of calipers and solonoids can offset the disappointment of not getting out of Q1 yesterday!

Yes to line in the sand..  this match is a must win if we're any chance of seriously contending this season imv.

Could you narrow it down a bit? 😁

well i can assure you it is not stuie

As a couple have mentioned, it will all come down to pressure.

We applied none last week. Will we adjust our game to put some contact on them or let them run loose?

We'll know by the end of the first QTR if we're switched on, running hard (both ways) and harassing every swans player out there.

Exactly , if we let them waltz out of stoppage like we did last week against Brisbane without tackling I will seriously spew up.

I’d rather not know exactly who’s in and who’s out if it means the opposition also don’t know.

KEEP ‘EM GUESSING!!!

Soz for yelling. I’ve had three coffees, a 600ml Red Bull and a Berroca. If I didn’t have an injured foot I’d be out there getting the job done myself!!!!

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
