If they think they can get Curtin with 6, and they get Rivers for 'free', then yep.

Curtin going at 6 is the only way I see us being able to tempt West Coast anyway, unless of course it was JVR and 6 + 11 or whatever.

I disagree.

I agree that they'd only take 6 if they were sure they'd get Curtin, but they will think that this pick one is one of the most valuable picks ever and that they'd only trade it to cash in in a super strong way.

Curtin for Reid with just Rivers as the sweetener ?  No way would they consider that, imo.

Yeah I'm not against this.

Fresh start in a new environment could rejuvenate him.

Trust me, ask yourself, who you would you have rather in our finals this year playing up forward? Tmac or Darling..?

I know who'd i rather..

I think we should seriously consider Jack Darling. there is almost no doubt he would offer more than BBB or Tmac next year.

It's probably a moot point anyway isn't it, as we agree that Rivers won't be traded.

... unless you were offloading TMac or BBB to make room for him, why would you have three almost retired and past their best forwards on our list.

Yes and he only extended this year until the end of 2027.

messiah crib GIFAFL in their omniscience created the draft.

Lesser ‘equals’ at Struggle aka Arden Street have a cargo cult lead by high priests Clarkson, Viney and Rawlings.

Meanwhile…

In the more salubrious surroundings of  Jolimont Terrace. A messiah cult has again re-emerged with a growing number idolatrous adherents seen fervently worshipping the mysterious  “No. 1.”

Understandably DL is a broad church, but will the moderators ensure a modicum of common sense prevails? Or will it be necessary to call in the Inquisition to purge these heretics so equilibrium can again be re-stored?

Darling, Brown and McDonald all sitting in the club corporate box for $1.5m would indeed be amazing.

Dont forget Scache and Fullarton. It could get pretty crowded in there.

Our club has made the decision to recruit Tom Fullarton.

He hasn't even arrived yet and you're already writing him off.

You're not really much of a supporter are you?

I’m all for bringing in established forward talent to rectify our forward line issues but Darling only managed 26.19 in 20 games in 2023. That is quite frankly a terrible return for a bloke of his stature and presumably expensive contract.

T Mac would easily manage 26 goals in 20 games.

Problem is, T-Mac won’t get through 20 games.

The word easily needs to be tempered. He played 23 games in 2021 for 30 goals and has only one other time, during his 12 years at the Dees, kicked more than 26 goals in a season.

I don't know about recruiting Darling, but his return of 26.19 really needs to be put into context.  West Coast were utterly terrible in 2023.  They had very few winners in any part of the ground.

It’s amazing his both Tmac & BB are on our list, With continued injuries, respect they are premiership players but what can they add in our shrinking window..  what’s even more concerning if we don’t end up drafting an establish fwd whilst watching the filth get Shultz

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
