He’s from the northern suburbs of Perth , played all his junior footy at Whitfords and Sorrento Duncraig, whilst attending St Marks in Hillary’s for his schooling.

His father taught at Ocean Reef High School in the 80s and 90s before venturing into another field.

He is in no way Victorian

Pick 4 is a very valuable asset though so would think they would want a bit more than just points. Future picks might be required as well.

GCS total 2023 draft pool is hovering around the 4500 points mark. Rumour has it that at least 2 of the 3 academy players will be top 10 and given the expected order of those, will need at least 3500 for the two expected to go early. The question will be how much contingency are they going to need or are they prepared to go into deficit next year.

Agree as you put it  that Pick 4 is of value but cashing it in for points is really a waste. Put in an enticing offer in front of them and i cant see why they wouldn't trade. If a F1 was part of the deal, then id hold onto Pick 15 and give them what ever else we have in the treasure trove, which would include 2nd and 3rd rounders hopefully for Tommo, Harmes.

On a side note: if Grundy does goto Sydney i would try this potential trade:
Grundy + Pick 15 for Sydney's Pick 9 and 28, which has a points value similar to end of first round 1, which is about right i think. 

So then for GCS Pick 4, you'd give them F1, 23(MFC),28 (Syd), 36(MFC) + one of Tommo/Harmes (~300). Its approx an extra 200-300 points to GCS in 2023 draft plus a F1. Its a huge huge benefit to GCS and probably unbalanced so we may ask for a F2 to come back our way. 

We could then have 4,5,9 in 2023.

I haven't kept across all the rule changes but is there still something  in place that removes a clubs ability to stockpile draft picks?

I remember there was a rule that clubs need to have as many list spots open as draft selections or something similar.

For example. This would prevent them from trading pick 4 for 5 picks in the 30's+ if they only have a list spot or 3 players.

Can't remember if this is still a thing but may impact what clubs can offer.

I don’t think the Suns will struggle to get points for their academy players this year. If Flanders leaves then they would already have enough with their picks below pick 4. Picks 25&30 can be split to gain more points. If they get a late first round pick as part of the deal for pick 4/5 then they can also split that. 

It’s really about how attractive the future pick is to them and why other clubs might be well placed to get a deal done. If they could get a future first rounder from say the dogs it’s probably going to be a better first rounder than ours. 
 

We have a great draft hand and Lamb is brilliant and trading picks so I hope we do get their pick. Even if we don’t end up with their pick we could still get involved in the deal and get another top 10 pick. GWS, Cats, Dogs would all have an interest in trading up.

Surely all the clubs chasing Ben Mckay would also have Adam Tomlinson on their list. 
 

Goodwin has virtually told Tommo to go as he’s been dropped again.  Played a good game and fits in to allow Lever to intercept.  It worked well v hawks but I think Tommo card is marked as “leave”. 
 

Bombers and Swans are most likely, or perhaps even the Hawks.  Whoever misses on Mckay might seek Tommo as a 2023 3rd round or future 3rd round pick swap 🤯

I can't understand how he wasn't picked up last year when he tried to leave. Hopefully a better outcome for him and us this year not that we'd get much but will free up some cap space.
