Doing the 2 and a half hour travel with my 3 year old to attend tomorrow's open training session at Yea.

My turn to give back to the die hard regulars who have make the time to attend and give in depth reports for us folks who live in regional country area's.

If you have any player of interest to keep an eye on let me know and I'll do my best to update.

Quick question, are players accessible for photos and autographs afterwards? This is for my son who is excited to meet his hero's tomorrow.

Good man Dazzle, I hope you have a great day. It's a community trip so I would expect the players will hang around and do photos and autographs. Hope you can checkout Burgoyne I'm really interested in his progress.

Definitely a man of interest for me so will watch closely.

Looking forward to your report @dazzledavey36, keen to get answers to the following:

  • how well did JVR train?
  • ditto Blake Howes!
  • is Spargo still short?

Bowie, Salem and BB for me please

many thanks for the offer.

Can you spare a sentence on Lachie Hunter and first impressions.  And Jake Bowey. What is he doing  etc. Interested given SEN don't name him in best 23.

Rivers and Chandler for me please DD

Definitely what the go is with Oliver and how long it's expected this hand is going to take to heal properly.

Looking forward to this one, I'm sure you won't miss a beat!

I'd like to hear how Sestan looks now after a couple of months in a demanding AFL pre season setup. Burgoyne and Mcvee as others have said too. Also what they have in mind for Bowey now that the news on Salem has come up.

Would love to know the expected timeline for Salem and if they expect him to be playing early in the season!

Sausage roll and pie report from the Yea bakery perhaps?

Sorry Jim, currently on a zero sugar/low carb diet.. Please don't judge me!

What I will say is that I have experienced the famous Yea bakery sausage rolls from their from years ago and they are absolutely to die for.

Might drop down to Snodgrass St tomorrow myself.

I shall provide a pie report from Yarck

Thanks Dazzle I am very interested in Sparrow/ Jordon and Rivers, love to hear your thoughts.!!

Keen to hear how some of the borderline 22 are training. There’s some talented youngsters like Rivers, Bowey, Jordan, JVR all looking to cement a spot in the team.

Also who will our small lockdown defender be once Hibberd retires? Does Mcvee or anyone else look like they’re taking up the mantle?

I'd love an update on Joel Smith Dazzle. I hold great hopes for him.😁

Seeing I am in Bendigo, this week, I might just pop across to Yea to see the training run - might even see ya there if luck is on my side. I'll leave Bendigo around 6am to combine the accommodation of a 'Yea pie and sausage roll' with a long black coffee before the action begins. How will I identify you, Dazzle?

Trained today, still listed as training on Wednesday. If that’s the case then surely anyone expecting anything more than a captains run will surely be disappointed

Something would have to change drastically in the 24 hours since your last report S.

I was a bit surprised to read they were doing a full match simulation today. I mean they've got the time listed from 9:30-11am so I presume it will be light work.

I'm travelling 2.5 hours.. don't [censored] this up Melbourne Football Club....

To die for but not good enough to sacrifice a diet for 🤨

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
