Still have to pinch yourself when you realise we now have bonafide stars of the game when we were irrelevant for so long.

Already a Melbourne legend, Trac does things on the field that look like they shouldn't be possible

Im going to smash it tonight boys. raring to go

Will always be a Melbourne legend after his past few seasons and the Norm Smith. He's become a superb player and has stood up in the big games like a champion.

Importantly though he always acknowledges the fans and has a positive attitude and real warmth to him. You see him making time for the kids etc and he's just a fantastic role model for the youngsters following the club and is drawing new supporters too. He's become the superstar player and marketing dream we dreamt of for so many decades.

Tracc’s greatest accolade is his next one…

That sums it all up

Foot to the Floor Christian. Now is the moment

I know exactly how you feel LZ. Same when Matthew Lloyd ranked his top 10 players he'd choose to play finals with:

1. Gawnny

2. Some bloke from Brisbane

3. Clarry

4. Tracc

5 onwards: some spuds

Great read.  He's clearly done a lot of work on his mindset and finding the approach to the game that works for him.

Write him up as much as you like after an MCG  winning GF,  otherwise  FO.

Christian Petracca

alteady a champion of the game

love him

MFC premiership player

norm smith medal

bull of a midfielder

but two things …

1. stay hungry … looking like his playing fancy little delicate handballs and tackles being missed

2. He must must must sort out your goalkicking. It’s a huge knock on him and imv stops him from being elite … he’s not confident and his routine is poor. Straights and simple levers are the key !!!

Not sure if you realise but he was playing on one leg from midway through the first quarter. He could barely jog at one stage and I expected him to be subbed off.

I would not be too critical of him tonight.

The article was a set up for a fall

Just manure garbage for suckers.

It would be greatness if he could nail a set shot.

i think he should try the ben brown run-up

he gets zero momentum thru the kick with his current approach

His inability in front of goal is stopping him from reaching Ablett/Dusty heights. Should be breaking games open by kicking 2-3 regularly given his rotations into the forward line

Sitting on members wing ground level tonight, there was nothing surer than the fact Petracca was injured. He could not run. It was a result of a tackle he put on Franklin. Whether he aggravated the calf we heard about, I have no ideas. But he was practically limping

Played with a hairline fracture last night.

They are planning on playing him against Brisbane still.

We're in trouble without a fit Petracca

I would not play him and maintain the faith in the team.Perfect opportunity for a ready made hard Ball  get from Casey who is just itching for a chance.

1. The guy played 3 quarters with a fractured leg and clearly hampered by a severe cork. Still gathered 24 and gave more than half the side.

2. Is top 5 in score involvements in the league. Sure he should fix the goal kicking as should Dangerfield, Fyfe as example but to say he is not elite is farcical.

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
