I guess this all makes sense, we haven't beaten anyone in the top 4 this year. We are being shown up here by the Swans. On our turf. Again.

Ok were in trouble.

We are in serious trouble now

Swans playing very well. It’s going to be tough from here

Your goal Brayshaw.

[censored] he is so clumsy

Come onnnnn melky!!

Defensive marking the opposition  has been terrible and not the key defenders either

Don’t forget to kick it deep into the left pocket where we score Fromm so often

How we let Hickey just do what he wants. It’s beyond me. We have two ruckman and both are as bad as each other today.

Salem?

No excuse for that one Melks, but it's not just you.

It starts with his 3 touches.

No shame in losing tonight. Swans just superbly drilled.

Would be a huge surprise if we win this.

Sydney have got this.

They look far more polished and everytime they go inside 50 they either score or are able to hit the easy option.

Disappointing.

The thing is Franklin, McDonald & Warner have had no impact but we are still losing.

I just really hope we can produce something great in this final term

Not a chance in hell we win this swans are just too clean, we are just playing the way they want, goody completely outcoached at this stage

We can do it (although we have not been a good Q4 team this year), but it's gong to be tough. Swans are playing well and taking their chances and we aren't, simple as that.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
