Good morning folks - for the next 36 hours only, it’s time for … SAINTLAND

St Kilda Saints

Talk about the second-greatest (by a long way) Football Club in the World .... The St Kilda Saints

Let’s do our best to get the Saints up and over the Sydney Swans tomorrow afternoon at the second home of football. And if they can’t win, at least, to keep the margin to a manageable level. After all … we love a close game!!!

Go Saints!

Nothing less than a 120 point win for the Saints will do. That would see them in the top 8 when the Blues and the Dogs lose.

I don’t like their ins/outs.

Wood (4 goals last week), Crouch and Webster out make their side weaker.

Battle and Hanners are ok ins, but it’s an overall loss.

Can see the margin of 50 odd points  that Sydney needs going down the wire.

I’m sick of us dropping Membrey back as a spare late in quarters. Let’s just attack like we did against Lions in the third quarter last week, give the boys licence tomorrow Ratts.

Until we stop flip flopping between Seaford, Moorabbin and the junction oval we will never win the flag.

I think we have got our training loads perfect to perform solely for Kent’s final game…

kent to kick 3 goals plus and we win by 10 points… up the sainters

Okay are we pretending we're Saints supporters?

Okay here goes....

I'm a Saints supporter with an ugly face and a big butt and my butt smells and I like to kiss my own butt.

Saints very up and down. This will either be a very tight game or the saints will chit the bed. There'll be no in between

Do you say it with a heavy heart though?

Will Cooper Grech be at the game?

King.

I'm too positive and optimistic this morning knowing we're in the top 4 to come up with some mfcss nightmare that Sydney are up by 30 points at 3/4 and they hit 50 because Max King kicks 0.4 in the last quarter. Oh wait...

a very heavy heart

If we lose this I will toss a dwarf through my T.V.

In the same vein as Melbourne did it for Robbie in 1987, let's do it for a couple of our club greats in Hanners and Kenty.

I wonder how the gents who used to populate the old smokers stand back in the day  would reconcile themselves to a ‘Demons Disco’?

He needs to do the Ben Brown approach. Has no momentum and I crawl faster than he walks in to kick for goal. Cmon Saints.

You’ve timed how fast you can crawl?

I did a stint as a barman in the St Kilda Social Club in 1979.

If they can play football today as well as they could party in those days, they'll romp it in.

Will the Saints actually do something useful in their history?

Will the Saints actually show some backbone?

I actually have my doubts because they have been so utterly useless in 100+ years.
A home Final at The ‘G would be great, but not something that worries me

Tracc said it last night. “We love to travel, we bond…”

We have no serious injuries and TMac could still play a part…

No and it ain't quick but unfortunately for Max King he looks like he's going to trip over his own feet on the way in.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
