I can live with Cripps action not being worthy of suspension. I can’t accept there being a different set of rules for star players than the rest of the competition.

I hope Chandler is furious with us for not supporting him.

Precedent has now been set - bumps to the head that result in concussion are now legal.

Could be some absolute lunacy ahead!

Not reasonable, not caring for protection of the head, but also not in the least unexpected.

Apparently there is no mention in the Magna Carta about choosing to bump!

There can no longer be any doubt The AFL is a corrupt organisation.

They should offer workshops to The Bandidos, Comancheros  et el to improve their corporate performance.

[censored] me ! Why stop there, go international - I'm sure the generals in Myanmar could learn a thing or two from the experts!

This is now beyond a joke. The AFL is  a powerful  billion dollar organisation. Surely there need to be some sort of judicial enquiry into their governance.

Don't worry, the next no name will cop plenty.

one step forward, two steps backwards

afl will pay when the concussions claims start flooding in

We don’t really have much luck. Cripps should be out. Elliot shouldn’t have been given frees in front of goals against Collingwood. Eugle Hagen plays his only decent game of his AFL career and luck would have it - it’s against us. I’ve about had it.

“The finding was unreasonable and did not comply with the requirements of procedural fairness,” said the appeals board chairman Murray Kellman.

What the hell does that mean?

Let’s tear Carlscum apart

He was always getting off. Look at the fact that Carlton were given extra time to get the appeal in. Then over 5 hours hearing. They waited until most were asleep to sneak the decision. It’s as corrupt as it gets.

I think you are missing the point.

I am sure they have found he contested, not bumped.

Paddy Ryder who stood still and had a player run into him and get whiplash, copped two weeks.

He should sue.

And this is why, if Melbourne folded tomorrow, I would never watch another game of football ever again.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
