Melk’s selection confounds me   He looked well past it in the last couple of games he played

Has he been starring at Casey ?

He's been okay but in racing parlance.... prefer others

How Bedford is preferred to Chandler is amazing.

Our backline looks pretty balanced on paper - if Riv can step up and take on more of the Nev Jetta stopping role.

Forward of the ball I still think we lack some X factor - particularly in the air. If we deliver the ball better and Koz can get to work we will look 100 times better.

I don’t know about Melksham, but I do know that he kicks the ball well from half forward and that’s been his role for 3 years.

What does this mean? Serious question. If your preceding sentences are anything to go by it must be disparaging. But what exactly does it mean?

edit: I just googled it. There’s five minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
🙄

You've never heard that phrase before WCW ?

Melk needs to turn the clock back to 2018. On Bedford, It's a fairly big ground might suit his speed, he certainly wasn't suited by Geelongs narrow offering.

I haven’t. And I was quite happy having never heard it. I naively thought it might be something insightful (it isn’t) and now I can’t unhear it. 😭

Are you not a Ben Brown fan Nev?
I had no idea.

I actually am, and I want him in form for finals but it feels like he doesn't have enough support in the forward line to be able to effectively turn around his form at the moment. I was one of the many calling for JVR to come in, but thought at least they might bring in Weid.

Absolutely laughable changes. No replacement for Oliver, Bedford gets gifted another game, Melksham has done nothing to deserve a call up, Sparrow and Spargo are undroppable for some reason, no change to the forward structure to fix last week's problems.

By the time we wake up and realise we have some serious issues to resolve, it will be too late.

Tonight's Round 18 Team Selection Heavyweight Blockbuster at Festival Hall!

Dunstan must be regretting his decision to join us, and Chandler must be regretting staying with us. Form counts for nothing. The one saving grace is that Weid isn't in the side.

Will Melk and May run through the banner together as a sign of solidarity?

I think they have picked Melksham to try and improve connectivity with the forward line.

Trac, Viney and Harmes/Sparrow/Kozzie combo in the middle, possibly Brayshaw.

Yes, lord forbid there could be some actual reasons for the decisions.

Melksham frees up Trac and Harmes for more midfield time. Not complicated.

Melksham has been bog ordinary for Casey and Bedford was dreadful last week

Wtf is going on?? DUNSTAN was great last week and would have done a serviceable job in Clarries absence , just TOTALLY  mind bogling. We will lose this!

He has been generally average to solid at Casey.  Maybe its compensation for the May incident.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
