I have been critical of Kossie at times and am hesitant on Jacko becoming a star, however, we were to lose both in one off season, the club would be in seriousย

They won a flag together, if they now want to split and go elsewhere then they can pack their bags, put their shoes on and walk out. We will move forward and find people that want to be here.

He's contracted, no way we let him walk. Also Adelaide and Port are allegedly going to get Rankin and Dunkley respectively which will cost first rounders minimum, so they will have bugger all trade capital to make anything appealing to us. Next year is when we worry.

Kossie has a serious gf who hopefully loves living in Melb and would never consider moving interstate.

Hardly anyone great seems to want to be here ( with a few obvious exceptions) We are hardly Pies, Cats, Tigers or Hawksย  and North probably looks good nowย  since theyve got a coach.

You didn't notice that I refered to exceptions?....Gus Trac Max May and Vines..only May is an import ,which is what I was addressing.

We need another big bodied mid ready to go,ย  a marking KPF,aย  second ruck and a small forward...with AFL experience, not from the draft .

We might need a new fitness guru from somewhere else as well. One that doesn't think more is better

Players are going to leave, it's inevitable. We just have to make sure we retain as many as possible which we've done and make sure our list decisions from here on out are good ones. I think we're doing a good job in that area.

Spot on.

There is NO SUBSTANCE to this Pickett thing.

Kane Cornes said this on radio yesterday morning (Crunch Time). He threw it out there, Sam Edmund asked him to clarify, and he conceded he had no inside information but that the two SA clubs would love to have him.

In other words, he's made this up to start a fire.

Why would he do that, you ask?

Well, he's a Port Adelaide man. And he is a regular on Trade Radio, which stirs [censored] up on a daily basis to fill 8 hours of airwaves a day talking about pretty much every single player on every single list.

This is A-grade tripe.ย

Kane Cornes' tripe is just the entree before Trade Radio starts. Adam Cooney and Brendan Goddard will provide a full degustation menu of offal.

Agree. ย Itโ€™s just wheel spinning by ex footballers trying to remain relevant. ย

From Fox Footy articles about Jackson. Someone mentioned on here that Hunt would most likely be at another club next year. Looks like the opposite.ย

Quote was from Jon Ralph.

โ€œ(They are) set to recontract Jayden Hunt. Decisions ahead on (Michael) Hibberd and (Jake) Melksham.

โ€œMultiple clubs have interest in Toby Bedford โ€“ he hasnโ€™t signed yet.โ€

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
