There was no 'fall of the ball', Collngwood had their highest amount of intercept marks for the year. Both Browns failed to even bring it to ground.

With T Mac out we need to persist with Weid & give him a good run at it. If he doesn't shape up then trade him out end of the season. M Brown sure isn't the answer.

As we played in the GF we (and the nose beers bulldogs) played the latest game into 2021 and had less of a break before 2022 season started. Logic would say we should have been in the group of teams that had the first bye, but why would the AFL use common sense and do that?

Truth be told we didn't have a break at all. Lot of tired players and the bye will do them the world of good.

Collingwood kicked 6.0 in the last quarter. After kicking 6 goals to three quarter time. We've kicked 6 goals in the second half...OVER THREE WEEKS. Eight quarters.

This isn't just a May, or just a forward line issue. It's a 25 goals to 6 in second halves issue. One game is no stress. Two games is a worry but okay. Three games in a row is a trend.

I was clipping blokes for saying Collingwood was going to win. But after today I see the light. It's a trend now.

I get where you are coming from but people need to vent. I ride the wave of emotion like many on here  so absolutely understand where they are coming from too.

I say, let them say anything they want within reason and move on - I hold no grudges or take anything too seriously.

Can’t run out quarters, can’t run out games. Not buying into the loading bulldust. Either boys are sore or not putting in the effort.

One key standout is how poor our defensive zone is. Teams are able to pick it apart with short kicks, moving it quickly. 
 

Forwardline- what else can you say. Poor on every front, connection is really bad. Forwards needs to lead and not expect  the ball on their heads. 
 

Things can be fixed, but glad I’m not the guy to do it.

This won’t even feel like a bye, after recovery tomorrow we’ll have 9 days until Brisbane and hopefully that’s enough for a reset. This is like playing on a Thursday night and the next game is Sunday week. 

I’ve noticed Lever is getting dragged to the middle of the ground a lot the last few weeks and when the ball goes over his head we’re screwed without May back there. Don’t recall seeing Lever play so high this often.

That is all true. But he isn’t reading the play well or using the footy well. He is not doing anything well at the moment and it’s really hurting us. 
 

Salem is badly out of touch and clearly needs a week in the VFL. Langdon hasn’t come back the same from the rib injury. Trac is all over the shop. Ben Brown is well down. Sparrow looks buggered. 
We look very bad all over the ground. Oliver and Gawn and Petty have been warriors the last 3 weeks. But 3 players can’t carry the side and today 2 of them were again hurt.

The second half fade-outs in the last 3 games are interesting. Maybe they are loading, but maybe this is wishful thinking. I do know that the Brisbane game after the bye will tell us a lot

Well that was fun. Always good to lose to the filth. Forward line is a shambles. Brayshaw was superlative at half back but Lever is a worry - he can’t man up.

Well if we want top spot back then Brisbane may be the perfect game & obviously will have to beat them.

I remember Melbourne Storm went through this after there premiership & they went back & worked on what needed improving. 

This is where our assistants are important & need to work with the coach.

Advice to the players on there bye week. Just lay low and don't get in the headlines.

I'm really feeling it currently but I have to say well done Angus Brayshaw!!

He absorbed so much pressure in the third, stoop up in a big way when others didnt. 

One of a few that can hold his head high today, as was the case with Maxy's effort last week though, you can't leave it to one man or a small group of players to win it for you, it has to come from everyone. Collingwood's bottom 6 absolutely dominated our bottom 6 today. 

But superb effort Gus, you played a ripper!

I’m not sure how many premiership defending teams would have lost 3 in a row at home, after getting 20-30 point ahead, then get chased down for 3 quarters.

Losing the same way repeatedly is saying to me that teams know they can grind us down.

Agree. Not sure if it's form or injury, but something is amiss with Trac.

Still had the 32 disposals today, but I can't say I recall any having a substantial impact.

The big story here is 25 goals to 6 in second halves over that period.
