joeboy 3,186 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Petracca - 4 quarter brilliance Viney - hard and important Oliver - seemingly different role Brayshaw - not his best Neal-Bullen - some vital intercepts Gawn - fit and imposing Brown - an important role Jordon - better second half Jackson - exciting in bursts Harmes - excellent tagging game Langdon - excellent first quarter May - great second half Fritsch - fifteen minute game Sparrow - was rarely noticed Spargo - excellent with ball Smith - seemingly no errors McDonald - genius positional change Hunt - quiet after first Bedford - some encouraging involvement Bowey - continued perfect record Tomlinson - slowish but effective Pickett - needed more involvement Salem - a huge loss 9 1 1 Quote

His defensive efforts were brilliant and I thought his disposal was effective for the most part. Edited March 16, 2022 by Hopeful Demon 6 Quote

Not to be a scold, but I think that joke played itself out a long time ago (and I was one of the original urine takers who gave joeboy stick over it). It has been 4 years since Tyson left after all and joeboy is pretty generous in taking the time to come up with these analyses every week. 🙂 Quote
Sir Why You Little 37,449 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Brayshaw played a great game Joeboy Otherwise i pretty much agree 4 Quote
In Harmes Way 7,869 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Why not frame Joel Smith's game in a positive light. Seemingly waiting for the bloke to fail is pretty poor. 2 Quote

Agree Joel did really well last night I've said this before but those who don't rate him need to remember he has struggled to stay on the park consistently and build his confidence and understanding of the game at the top level If he stays fit he has a good chance to continue his improvement and become a very valuable player for us 2 Quote
DeeZone 10,574 Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Agree on most Joeboy but not Gus his game was one of the reasons doggies couldn’t score in the 3rd.!! 6 1 Quote

DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Bowey - fantastic 9 touches We're used to small forwards having low disposals and playing well, see Pickett in the grand final, or even last night. But I don't think many half back flankers play as well as Bowey did with just 9 touches last night. I thought his defensive positioning and contests were really strong. Along with Hunt, Smith, Tomlinson I thought he allowed McDonald and particularly Brayshaw to get in intercepting positions to provide what we usually get from Lever. I was shocked to see he had only 9 touches. 4 Quote
Fritta and Turner 4,688 Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Pickett - off the boil (great goal though) Sparrow - couldnt find ball (hope he hasnt relaxed with re - signing) Gawn - not umpires friend Oliver - not umpires friend 1 Quote

Whether that was to change their on-ball mix (a polite way of saying whether he'd been demoted from that role following the pasting they received in the GF) or he had a particular role, such as tagging one of our defenders, I couldn't tell. 1 Quote
