Of the 50K who have signed up I'm going that half are either AFL, MCC or reserved seat holders. So I think around 75K is both accurate and a good effort considering a Wednesday night and Im not expecting there to be more than 10K bulldogs fans.

For context Carlton Richmond has sold 75k so they will get close to 90K tomorrow.

Great day to be alive boys.
Now get out there .... AND PLAY YOUR FORKEN GAME!

I got asked to do a double shift at work. I said nup cannot do it. I said to a colleague I've been waiting to see my team unfurl a premiership flag & I'm not missing it. I just hope we win & win well.

Looking forward to seeing them live & the roar of the crowd. Will stop by warnie's statue to.

Go Dee's!!!

Maybe this one is for Goody, after incessant attacks, it should be..

For those going , enjoy the flag un furling and Go Dees

In isolation for this one.  Close contact.  Can confirm the new premiership jumper is slim fit.  I am not slim and as such it is not a great fit.

All things being equal we should win and win well in the last quarter, but     it is my demons

double but   we are a different team these days   we proved that a couple of times last year

So I believe the hype   Go DEES

Itchy back, anyone?

Football is way importanter.

I think I may get a little emotional walking to the G through the carpark. Just being back & seeing the masses of people & our fellow premiership supporters. Surely we will outnumber the doggies fans tonight

A different lead in to our R1 game last year.

Anyone else heard the rumour lever could be a late out?

Went for a run this morning and came home minus my left wireless earbud (only bought them on Monday 🙄).

Saw my son had messaged me overnight to tell me Scott Hall (aka Razor Ramon) has passed away. He was our fave wrestler back in the day. 😢

Locked myself out of the house (again) so had to wake my teenage son, which is never pleasant before 10am.
But it’s all good since whenever I have the bad luck coming in threes thing happen on GameDay… Dees win!
Also, this from today’s HS…

Not dissimilar start to the day for me. Shocking round of golf (23 pts), drove to Waurn Ponds station and jumped on the train only to find I was on the way to Warnambool. Got off at first stop - Winchhelsea. No taxi or Uber. Got mate to drive over from Torquay (40 mins) and deliver me back to Waurn Ponds station to start again. Still hopeful I'll be in time to see flag unfurled.  Round one 1965 I was 13 yo and would have been at the game but can't remember that unfurling. Can't miss this one.

Newbie Question, First time permanently back in Melbourne in 12 years... I bought a Demons Seat Plus Area - Reserved Bay Membership. Does that mean I find any seat in bay M13/M14 or will a seat be chosen for me each game?

Bay13/14 pick your own seat.

If no Lever I am not sure we can win. That’s more than half our backline missing.

Lucky it’s a long season.

Just saw trenners at the ground in a dees scarf :)

I've seen this posted here, but just seeking clarification...Is the carpark completely closed for General Public parking? I have consulted the MCC site, which is vague at best.

If this is the case, what a complete disgrace. It is a Wednesday night. People want to get home early. Why on earth would you close the car park?  No doubt the metres will be patrolled all over Jolimont. I have an elderly father, he isn't disabled, but relies on driving in. There will be no parks within 2km. He will struggle to walk and why would you want people crammed on public transport. Complete balls up

Yep, drove here hoping to get in still but only allowing disability permit holders in. Managed to get a parking spot 800m away though so could’ve been worse for us.

I reckon the Bulldogs will come out breathing fire.

MFCSS is still strong with me despite the glory of last year, but I can't wait.

Our baby had me up at 3:30 this morning, but I've taken the day off tomorrow so I can stay up "late" tonight and continue to try and get her first real word (she babbles a lot) to be...

Maxxy!

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
