Don't mind this at all.

Agreed, good cover and also seemed to be loving life as a Dee.

Majak Dawn... Sounds like me on Sunday morning!

Absolutely fine with this.

Remember as well that he didn’t really have a preseason this year.

While I don’t see him playing the full 22 games next year, I’d like to see him get some games in the ones.

Good insurance policy, and our list turnover is already pretty much sorted with 2 retirements, 4 delistings and 1 “we recommend looking elsewhere”. You’d have to think we’re unlikely to get as lucky with injuries to talls as we did this year, where other than Tommo, we hardly had one. Happy with this.

Was playing well when the VFL season was underway, and can cover ruck, key forward, or key back. Sensible decision.

Good 3rd string back up for one more year. Can now draft a young 4th option with no pressure on them to play.

Did he ever get suspended for belting Cox?

Him playing means that Gawn is injured but good on him that he is happy with that role.

Considering the struggles he's had to endure in the past, I must say the highlight of the celebrations was seeing Majak with the biggest smile being so happy for the boys.

Hope to see him getting a game next season. Good luck to him.

Wasnt a big fan of picking him up as I couldnt see him ever playing a senior game, but he's fitted in well and seems to be a well liked figure around the club so Ive changed my mind, no harm giving him another season as a backup.

anyone heard any news re this?

Looking forward to seeing him play a few senior games for the Demons next year in 2022.

Due to his versatility he can still impact games as a ruckman, defender or a forward. Majak Daw is the ideal utility player.

Ideally, thanks to him signing, he could also co-opt P.M. Dawn to play a few pre match gigs for us once COVID restrictions are lifted. 😉

The new Pedersen!

Yes.. he got one week.

It was in a scratch match so perhaps it can be served in another scratch match if it hasn't already been done.

Perhaps the AFL could use its discretion after the VFL season from hell.

PS the article talks about a Round 23 scratch match that he was going to be excluded from so perhaps he has served the suspension

Majak, with a full pre-season under the belt, with some confidence-boosting training displays and focus, could well contribute much to our line-up. He is - imo - well worth a go and may well shine in our improved culture and team spirit.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
