How good would being at the Best and Fairest be this year. Wish I had a ticket now.

Are we allowed to have one? Or is it in WA this year?

That patch in the 3rd quarter. Go back and look at it again and again. Jackson, Viney, Oliver and Petracca all bullocking, following up, fiercely ball hunting, and sprinting away once we had clear possession. All 4 of them. That is the best midfield footy I have ever seen: BREATHTAKING!!

But I have to keep coming back to Brayshaw. He remains my favourite player. His endless gut running, taking body hit after body hit, and THAT mark and goal, and for the first time in a long time we clearly saw his skill.

Can't find the video.  Jonathan Brown was glowing of the courage Brayshaw showed in his diving mark.  Brown was one of the most courageous to don footy boots.  He could pay no greater compliment than praise courage.

Helps explain why his teammates voted him the 'most courageous'

I hit the roof (in a good way) when Brayshaw took that mark. He’d busted his butt in the contest leading up to it and deserved to round out the play. It was courageous but also skilful - 9/10 of those marks hit the turf. And as he lined up for goal it never crossed my mind that he might miss. He’s too good a player to miss such an important goal now.

And talk about leadership - Gawn was told to go back in the ruck during this period and said no, Jacko is on fire.
So selfless

I have been a supporter since 1952 and I have never seen 5 midfielders like Gawn Jackson Oliver Petracca and Viney in the MFC team at the same time.

The 1955 and 1956 teams had some great players only Barassi Cordner Spencer and Melville were nearly in the same league.

I think Rivers had him at stages too.

I did wonder last night whether the collision with the goal post rattled Weightman. Seemed to hit his head on the post and then on the ground. Coming back from a concussion that can't have been good. Not taking anything away from Rivers or Bowey, thought they were both super

Was on Tomorrow night but has been postponed till a later date.

Knowing the lockdown situation in Vic we might end up having this year and 2022 on the same night.

45 years I have waited for this moment. 45 years of love, heartache and often embarrassment.

We bloody did it. I have no voice, the hangover from hell, can barely peel my lips apart and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Time to crack another can and watch the replay.

GO YOU MIGHTY DEMONS and Thankyou from the bottom of my heart!!!

The kick from Bowey there was unbelievable. The vision and decision making to be able to create that opportunity with that heavily congested forward line was first class.

I would love to know the stats after half time of the Bulldogs forward line. I can't think of one of them who did anything of significance. Their goal kickers were Bont, JJ and Treloar - all midfielders. Or did Naughton get 1?

But my point is, that apart from Salem as a standout, none of our defenders had blinders. They simply worked as a unit and nullified the Bulldogs forward line. Hats off to our defence who found a way without Lever, May and Petty taking intercept marks. With all the focus on our amazing midfield I hope this does not go unnoticed.

Dan today I am going out for a celebrator lunch you can send the cops to Water Garden shopping centre. I will be the one sitting in the back tail gate of my black Equinox eating a Ferguson Pastie and a stubby of Heineken. Oh my car will be the one with the Dees flag on the roof rack.

Well I have watched the 14 minute mini match replay at least 10 times and I still tear up

I can’t actually remember how I felt early in the 3rd quarter last night but I’m sure there was a fair bit of “oh no this is not going to plan”

The way this team ran rings around a side that is pretty damn good is something I honestly never thought I’d see - the last half was easily the most impressive MFC performance I have seen in 50+ years of supporting them

Christian Petracca - just Wow he has developed into not only an outstanding footballer but I’ve been super impressed with his maturity and how he speaks. I’ve said this before but I love the way he openly expresses his understanding of what this all means to us the supporters particularly those who couldn’t be there to see it first hand

Thanks to everyone at the club for getting us here to this place it is a special day and one I will not forget. A special thanks to our recruiting staff who have picked some outstanding young men who are now playing as one team

The people that read and post on this site may not always agree but we are all passionate about our team and I am so happy for all of you because I know how much this means. Personally some people who post here particularly in some of our more difficult times have helped me get through and for that I’m grateful

I’m still a bit numb but I could get used to this feeling 🏆🔴🏆🔵🏆

Watched the sunday footy show this morning. Great coverage & well done to the club providing players for the show & not a pair of sunglasses in sight.

Interesting to hear from goody that max told him leave Jackson in the middle when he was dominating the centre square because he's on fire.

I see a few showing a bit of pity for the Dogs.

They have one of the most detestable players I have ever seen in Liberatore.

He can suck a fat one, with his tough-guy garbage.

The turn around in the last two months to realise our scoring potential has been amazing.. whether that is synergy between the forwards, or something else I am not sure.

Anyway here are some lovely bits of data or data (depending on how you say it).

Apparently he was concussed but not tested according to Heater and Daisy show, but not sure of the reliability of that info. Looking at the event though, it wouldn't surprise.
