Need a better second half from Oliver. He’s been quiet by his standards.

He’s a second half player, particularly against a tiring side. He’ll be right.

I'm filthy at the last 5 minutes, the missed chances and the umps. You don't give the Cats a look in. On the upside, the geriatrics have been run ragged, so I'm not sure they'll have the legs, but still. This game should have been put out of reach.

We'll reset and come out breathing fire, but geez it's hard to wait until then. The HT wait is tough in these games

Geelong look tired.

We got this.

Yes but Danger's still got a few good dives left. He's not done yet

Disgraceful given he holds a respected position in the Players association.

He need a break on the sidelines to consider the example he is setting..

Excellent first half.

Gawn robbed of a free kick before Smith kicked that goal.

Lost a bit of composure in the forward 50 at the end, need to be taking out chances.

That Fritsch miss was a bad one.

Clearances and conversion still the key.

Hawkins casual whack to petty’s head on the boundary akin to causal racism. Needs to be called out by the umps.

I had a sleepness night last night, but when I did drift off had a vivid dream of the final score tonight, and BOG.

Wrote it down so I wouldn't forget.

Would it be bad luck to post it here?

In your dream was the Dee's who won?

Fritter and Petracca should have kicked those goals. Game would have been almost over at half time. But now Geelong have a sniff. If we lose from here, no one to blame but ourselves. Having said that, I would take a 5 goal lead at half time on a prelim any day of the week. If our fitness is as good as we think it is, we power into a granny.

You’re spot on. Sadly, it’s now or never for Maysie. If he can help us get there, his job is done, because he won’t be there in 2 weeks.

Maybe they think he won't do any more damage as long as he plays within his limits and he's out there to general the backline on 1.5 legs

heavy tag on oliver as expected, no frees for the constant holding, high tackles, etc.. gawn constantly being held and pushed in the back and gets nothing.

No idea how a two hander full in the back in a marking contest is ok, but a couple of hands placed in the side in a ground ball contest is a free.

Whorekins gets away with it  every Ruck contest and nearly every possession he gets. Mutt.

I’m not comfortable yet, but if we get to 44pts up there’s no way this Cats side is coming back from that.

So nervous I could spew. Come on boys!  Trac and Kozzie have done some ridiculous things - skills simply on another plane.  Viney a beast.  Take our chances when we have the ascendancy and we've got this!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
