Shoutout to Sparrow who didn't make my 6, but played a career best game.

Agree.  Sparrow was very good tonight.  Impressive in his home final

Viney was good wasn't he.

I thought so. Had a lot of it. Disposal was pretty good throughout. 7 clearances, 6 tackles, 7 score involvements. I thought he played a really strong role.

Tough to only give 6 tonight. May was good. Salem was good. Brayshaw and Sparoow were consistent and had good moments.

Votes were impossible. Apologies to pretty much the rest of the team.

Lever

6. Oliver - dominant all night

5. Gawn - a sluggish start but was outstanding from quarter time.  Such a massive presence.

4. Brayshaw - an outstanding game from one of the great team players.  And very courageous.

3. Fritsch - 4 goals from 7 kicks is a great return from a very dangerous mid sized forward

2. Neal-Bullen - continuing his very solid form

1. Petracca - not quite at his best but still an excellent game.  Bigger things still to come I suspect.

6. Oliver

5. Gawn

4. Lever

3. Trac

2. Fritsch

Well that was bizarre commentary regarding Smith/Salem. I stand corrected.
Smith had a poor first Q if that’s the case. Cameron seemed like he was on his own in the first Q. Smith tightened up after that.

I will have ago,.....

And one needs to apologise to a number of other layers especially in the last two votes. and also post quarter time.

Very even team performance,    No Change unless forced.

6 - Clayton ‘Chas’ Oliver

5 - Christian Petracca

4 - Max ‘AA Captain’ Gawn

Outstanding ‘across the board’ team effort makes voting difficult. Six in the votes, and probably another six unlucky not to be.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The Demons return to Casey Fields (aka the Field of Dreams) this Saturday to host the Saints in Round 2. If you’re feeling lucky, head down the Monash for some family-friendly footy—you might even walk away a winner. The first 5,000 adults through the gate will receive an entry into the $10,000 helicopter ball drop. With Casey’s infamous wind, what could possibly go wrong? Closest ball to the pin wins. So spread the word, get down there—and good luck!

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.
