Boy oh boy do they want the hard ball more than us. They’re shepherding, getting in front, making smart blocks….all the things you do in a wet game to create the advantage.

5 scoring shots each but don't convert & they do.

2 goals out of their backsides         typical  we cannot hit a barn door scoring

#freekickbulldogs.

it’s wet AF - one up, one down waiting for the spoil, and if we are playing the ‘hammer it forwards from the ballup’ game can you please put a red and blue jumper 15-25m in front of the contest?

The chances were there early, didn't get them. That's enough to cost you in a dry game. Even worse in the wet.

I know i rabbit about the maggots but seven to two on a night like this is fourteen to four.

Cheets cheets and cheets.

Dogs half backs controlling the game. Pushing up and thrusting it back inside their 50. Spargo and Pickett need to lock them down if we’re any chance tonight.

Half forward line getting thrashed need to lift

But our mids have to run with the ball deeper and deliver to give our forwards a chance. Just bombing and hoping from forward of wing at the moment.

My God the umpires love the Dogs.
Lever virtually  tackled round the head going for a mark - play on!

Dogs get touched free kick.

Dog just drop ball nothing!

Frees 8-2 joke on a wet night

Max Gawn has NO  IDEA AND CAN GOODY PLEASE PUT A DEFENSIVE PLAYER ON THE FUGGIN DWARF DANIELS

Worth putting Kozzie to play a run with on Daniels?  He's running hot and setting up so many plays as per usual.  Ideal conditions for him but Kozzie might be able to kurb the damage

Brown's set shots have been a worry lately. When he was at North he would've nailed that set shot 100/100.

Has he shortened his run-up or something?  He looks so much more unsteady prior to kicking.

The more a player spins or wiggles the ball around while walking in for a set shot, the more likely they'll miss. I knew BBB would miss just from that!!

BB and Kozzi's misses were just terrible misses

kozzie over rated at present but shows promise in next few years

yeah and umpires on side of course

Kick it to or in the vicinity of Kozzie. Only one who looks dangerous atm.

Not surprised. Think we have more capacity to lift than them. They got lucky with some of their goals.
Get the handball receives cleaner and then we will make space for transition.
Gawn also needs to play the percentages, to many hit outs or punches went straight to them.
Looking forward to a big second quarter.

What is wrong with Viney? Just loses himself in every contest.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
