Adelaide is such a B-grade city and TV market

How is the boundary rider...!?!

Was my next-door neighbour when I was in high school playing footy. Absolute top bloke.*

*I know that is irrelevant to your post.

Can they just thrown Harmes onto Boak for the second half? He's not done much, so may as well cancel Boak.

Wines. Cancel out wines

Oh I still remember that. That was a dark day in Australian Rules.

Yep. They've been poor in general. Both sides copping the short end of the stick.

If we win, the winning margin will be worth double of what it is purely because we’re not only playing another team, we’re playing against the deplorable umpiring as well.

ANB and Harmes very disappointing

AnB having a nightmare of a game. He is literally a detriment right now.

Do you ever comment on anything other than the umpires? They have been incompetent, yes, but not solely to the benefit of Port.

Not soley but heavily

i like Ben Brown being in the side he is not getting a lot of the ball but is sucking up a lot of attention, that gives our other forwards a chance to get into the game.

Agree whole heartedly.

but just to be fair, 13 guys in the team (not including medi sub) have had the ball less than BB

Oliver on track for forty touches? with 20 already.

And his first halves tend to be slower.

Edited by leave it to deever

Wish Boak would leave us alone just for once

Every. Damn. Time!

I don't mind the booing because it means we have the ball.

Ugh I was saying no late goals before the siren.

Petty magnificent so bar. His ball use has been great.

Trac had a great 1st half.

Pickett getting into the game. yeah that last 50 was there. If alir had touched it the ump would have said play on. No different ot eh fritta one.

I like what Ben Brown is doing. He's providing a contest and taking ports best backman from the others.

We are playing so much better than last week. We aren't over handpassing it and playing on at all costs. Love it.

Come on dees keep it going.

Great start.

Port are getting very few clean looks.

BBB has yet to hit the scoreboard, but he’s undoubtedly straightened us up. If he can jag one or two, he can say he’s done his job.

Clearances have improved out of sight.

I hope Ed has gleaned what our mindset is. If we go in knowing our foot is on the neck and it’s time to move in for the kill, we should win.

Would like more from Fritta, ANB, Viney and Harmes

Yes our stars are playing well but let's help them out a bit

Would like less from Harmes. Every time he touches the footy it ends up in Port Adelaide hands. Reverse King Midas.

Don't know what he brings

More than you I suspect we are in front

Start supporting the MFC

Yep fumbling it and dropping marks.

Really want to see Oliver kick 2 or 3 goals in 2nd half. Nothing better than an A grade mid who hits the scoreboard

Can we stop saying Petty is no good now? Kthnxby

Petty has had a great night. But his last 3 weeks have been terrible

Good thing his only had 3 touches.

Not even half as many as Ben Brown

I’m usually reluctant to bag the umpires. I rarely do it. But this is off the charts terrible umpiring.

The connection between Gawn , Trac and Clarry is good tonight and Brown balances out the forward line much better.

We also started better this week and those were the three things we wanted to improve on.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.
