The best thing Brown will do is take one of Jonas or Alir to free up Tmac and Fritta.

If Brown doesn't kick a goal, can we finally give Majak a chance as a genuine full forward?

No.

...We've Ben waiting a while for a genuine goalscorer!

Make it rain, Benny!!

Of course, this will require better i50 delivery, which will also result in Fritter, TMac etc. being more effective.

How is the inclusion for Melbourne. LML.

I just can’t get over how every time a team welcomes back a gun player from long term injury it’s against us. Every. Single. Time.

Inclusions are good, but it could be said that there is not a great deal of change - more 'same old, same old' in reality. The inspiration might well have come from the emergencies, the medi-sub and some positional realignments between backs and forwards who, down there, are relatively new to that confined environment.

Brown should lead his opponent down the brellow-yick road as often as possible and some young smart Rs Demon should rush in nearby to whence he came, and Fritta, TMac and Gawn/Jackson should offer leads, as well. They all need the goal-kicking practice, anyway.

I want you Demons to freak out, all game, at 100kph with a mongrel attitude and presence. Hear?

B. Brown coming in this week compared to last week makes literally no sense from a form perspective.

Goodwin says because of the 5 day break he was on limited minutes, so that means by Saturday evening, after the GWS loss, he had decided Brown would play the following week and hence gave him limited minutes.

Sounds like Goodwin has made the decision based off how [censored] our forward line was on Saturday afternoon. He’s then pulled the trigger, and not even considered how well Brown’s latest VFL game went.

So, why exactly didn’t he pick him for the Giants?

Very happy with this selection, feel sorry for Sparrow but head down and bum up Tom you will get further opportunities. We have been calling out for this change, so BBB don’t make asses of us.

Straightforward, top question, isn't it?

People expecting loads of changes are kidding themselves. We are still 12-3. We are still second. You don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. We made a big structural change with Brown. That’s enough.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
