It sounds like someone's mail here is off?

FWIW, if Joel Smith is on the plane...I'm not impressed.

we must be desperate

If May, Lever or Petty pull up sore in the warm up and can't play then we need cover in the emergencies.  M.Brown, Tomlinson and Hore are all injured and Bradtke is playing CHB for Casey.  It makes sense to take Smith as one of four emergencies - the only other feasible options would be Majak and he's been rucking or Weid and move TMac back but that's out there too.

So Smith, Daw or Weid - take your pick ...

If May, Lever or Petty pull up sore in the warm up and can't play and we didn't take cover in the emergencies there would be uproar here!

It would be nice to read a post match thread after a loss, that isn't world ending like the others this year.

I fear you’ve come to the wrong place. ?

Unless there's been a change in the last couple of hours, Vanders is not going to Adelaide.

Saw him getting on the plane in the MFC instagram

I agree with almost all of your opinions but not this. Is Petty markedly better? Joel is great with lock down. It frees up Lever.

Joel Smith is terrible, I don't know why he is still on the list.

Must agree. There were some impassable fullbacks in those days - far more than now!

Is it possible to lose this game but feel we're back on the right track?

What if we lose 90 - 80 in a see-sawing game with the home town crowd getting them over the line? What if our clearance work and scoring improve significantly in a high scoring loss?

It would be nice to read a post match thread after a loss, that isn't world ending like the others this year.

Good luck, there has been some "world ending" in threads for matches we won!!!

Why would Joel Smith be on the plane? Just saw it on Instagram. Mind boggling

To replace Petty, or at least be on stand by.

Saw the trainers attend to a hurt Petty in the second half of last week.

Joel Smith is on the plane to ADL - Interesting

Joel should play forward - if he has the opportunity. The backline is relatively fine and still borders on 'fabulous'.

Petty could be let loose on the fwd line at some stage, as well. The two could swapsie-tango as both can mark, intercept, spoil, shepherd, kick, run to space, lead out, kick well and true.

Then again, I may be the only person who thinks so ... perhaps it is something that I should keep to myself, in hindsight.

Go on, abuse me!

I really don't like the use of Joel Smith as a defender ,seem to get injured a lot as a defender (perhaps it is only an assumption).

Perhaps Petty will play forward and J.S will play defence.  Hopefully Vanders comes in for Sparrow or Viney or Brayshaw.

Must make 3-5 changes as a wake up call to the rest.

I have been saying this for years, Joel Smith is a forward!!! Before agravating a Groin injury during a firsts practice match a few years ago he led marked everything and kicked 4 goals. I thought then , as I still do to this day he is a forward!!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
