Going to get a good old belting today. Just not top 2 or top 4 material for that matter. Yes defence is great but we are really poor in attacking.

remember the Giants have many starting 22 injuries while we are just about full squad.

Agreed not even close to top 4 at the moment and with a tough run home I think we are done, no doubt we finish 5th and cop a belting from the tigers

Disgusting performance. Viney has been very poor and absolutely no forward line thanks to the selectors.

Viney not up to it. But hes not alone.

If we dont work out our fwd line soon we will be lucky to be top four.

But its not like nobody has not been saying this which makes it so frustrating.

Statistically we're not doing too badly.

How we *look* is a different story. TMacs checkside kick from 50 out preceded three GWS goals. Our pressure is very poor. But we are defending okay.

Not out of reach. Unlikely, but not impossible. Let's back them in. Our Brisbane game looked ominous at half time.

Good call. Game over now.

Last week bombers weren't  good enough. Gws are class and we're a 5 to 8th team.  Selection forward strategy non existent.

Its a pretty even comp as we all know there are no easy games and when your not on 100% you will be punished

Hopefully second half is a very different story

Reality bus is never far away

Lazy performance from our midfielders, and terrible non-Brown selection by the coaching panel has us in a situation where we just cannot score, regardless of how good our defensive running, structure and personnel are.

How about we put Max forward 80/20 and Jacko rucks 80/20.

Coz boy it ain’t working at the minute

This. Its not rocket science.

I’ve counted 6 free kicks directly from the Centre bounce to the Giants.

Max is preyed upon from the umpires. They actively look for the straight arm.
mids need to pull finger out and take front position. Frees and clearances will then follow.

Oh. DR.D, you're so negative. Pull your heads in you biased know it alls! The players are playing the way you think. We've lost to Adelaide, Collingwood and now GWS. Say Goodbye to top 4 officially.

I don’t understand those begging for Brown. He’d be getting nowhere near it, because we are continually losing the ball at the coal face. Even it up at the contest and then we can see what our forward line looks like.

Putrid first half.
We have lost all our systems and confidence from earlier in the season.
can be turned around, but why has it happened

Huge Half time for Goodwin

Still cannot believe Sideshow is not playing

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
