Why are the booing that. Their dumb [censored] ruckman didn't even contest. Max grabbed the ball at least half a metre inside the circle

Why single out one incident? They literally boo at everything. Everything. EVERYTHING.

Our goal kicking is the issue tonight. We’d be well up if we kicked straight.

Agree. It’s a fu@$&(&&?n disgrace. Top team. Huh. We’d be 6 goals ahead if muffties like Harmes could kick straight.

A few early goals this quarter and soak up some time. Need Kozi to be busy

Gonna be a grind this last quarter whether we like it or not. There's been no breakaway chances taken and it's just not that kind of game. It will only come from sheer hard work tonight.

How frustrating was watching all those points being kicked?

Could very well cost us

Can somebody, any of the guys in our i50 being paid to kick goals, take a mark and kick a goal!?

We're going to get shredded against better teams if we don't fix the forward 50.

Not been watching us this year?

Of the "better" teams who exactly had shredded us.

Unless by better teams you ate referring to the pies and crows.

These Essendon supporters are so insufferable.

Absolutely idiots

It’s like they picked the dumbest 20,000 they had, chucked them on the wing and said “just boo”. They are legit inbred.

Even West Coast are like - guys, enough with Booing. It’s losing all meaning

You would be hard pressed to find an essendon fan with an iq greater than their shoe size.

been watching Hunt, he's been really putting in.

Has shut out Tippa... so far

Langdon has been brilliant.

Tracc lifted.

Oliver good quarter.

Should be six goals up for all the effort that was put in.

Man I am going to enjoy this last quarter.

sit down bombers fans. Just sit down

Jesus this game is giving me palpitations.

We're ahead and everything, and provided the wheels don't fall off we should run over these twerps.

But we've gone from a 'nice problem to have' in not knowing who to pick up forward to we seriously don't know who to pick. TMac has gone off the boil, I thought last round was an aberration. Fritter has had a couple of assists but otherwise nowhere near it. Kozzie quiet.

What do we do?! We're going to need to convert against better teams and in finals!

He's having a cracker.

Brayshaw seems to be missing.

Who shut Merrett down?

Flicked onto the game just then, is it just me or the commentators genuinely seem disappointed every time we do something good or get a free kick? Luke Darcy in particular.

I thought Choco had fixed our set shot yips?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.

  • PODCAST: Gold Coast

I’ll be away for the next few weeks, so Binman will be holding the fort for our podcasts covering the Suns, Bombers and Lions matches. As a result, there will be no live podcasts during this period, and we won’t be taking calls or voicemails. Binman will still be dipping into this thread to select a few questions to answer, while also combining the long-form Stats Files podcast with the Demonland Podcast for these shows. Your questions and comments are a huge part of what makes the podcast work, so please post anything you’d like to ask or say below and we’ll do our best to give you a shout-out on the show. Please try to keep each post focused on one specific topic or player to make podcast preparation a little easier. If you have multiple topics you’d like to raise, please put them in separate posts.
