We didn't deserve that last goal, but hopefully we are smart enough to take advantage of it and start playing some selfless footy in the second half.

Clarry and Trac trying to do too much

Anyone going to stand up in the 50?

Somebody going to get on Merrett?

Playing badly yet in front , should go on with it from here.

Does anyone still think we shouldn't be playing BB in / around and out of the goal square?

Kozzie at the drop front and square.

We have played poorly, bombers close to their best yet they are losing at half time.

Lucky to be in front really. But fancy is to sort it at half time. Harmes needs to do a job on Merrett second half and our forwards need to lift. Come on dees

May has been sensational.

Jackson just needs to take his time and relax. His first shot that hit the post was a great kick. He needs to reward the hard defensive work and take his :30 seconds and trust himself.

I feel like we are low on confidence. Get a bit more reward for effort forward of the ball and we will look a lot better.

I was 50/50 on whether I wanted to see Brown back. I was curious as to what our small forward line setup would look like, but it's pretty clear we've gotten used to the 2 tall setup, and we're playing as if we're expecting McDonald to be there for the long kick in, when he's busy running up and down the ground.

Brown in next week regardless of the result for mine.

no tracc tonight, the big heads are getting  in their own  way

Every one of his possies has gone to them. Rarely seen him play a worse half.

Dry night and we have no big forwards and we kick to packs. As dumb as you can get.

Oliver stuffing up because he looks up and no one to kick to.

I so hope you’re right.

Where McDonald? Fritsch? Pickett? ANB?

Our forwards are completely non existent for 2nd week in a row.

Hope Oliver gets an almighty spray for that insipid performance.

Clayton needs to get his head out of the clouds and mind on the job. Poor decisions costing us. Hoping he can turn it on for the second half

I can only assume that Oliver is trying to draw heat to free up his fellow midfielders. When it comes off it looks great, but when it doesn’t it’s infuriating.

The problem is moving the ball into the forward line. Skills, connection, system and personnel.

I'd put Petracca permanently forward and  Fritta higher up the ground.

We will swamp their defence with rapid repeat forward entries all night. Will be a night out for our forwards.

Our forwards.  Who are they?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
