Tom McDonald's conduct after receiving that elbow to the jaw from Dane Zorko was exemplary. He pushed back and Zorko staged a fall. Macca then leaned over the prostate Zorko and told him the time of day. Effen AWESOME. After that the umpire awarded Macca the free kick and reported Zorko. MACCA...UNCOMPROMISING...TOUGH...ALL CLASS. Well done Tom McDonald!

I loved seeing Tmac gleefully giving him a gobful, then offering the arm to help him up. Fierce competitor and true sportsman. Class act.

Shout out to the 5000 predominantly Dees crowd given credit by Max in his post-game. Worth a coupla goals, it seems!?

Look at our boys! So proud of them. ❤️?

Was concerned at half time but..

it is fantastic to support a side that you are confident can win in any given week,

as long as we start well,

great second half  fitness department take a bow.

What a win our best yet to play the football they did in the second half after being under supreme pressure in the first half I'm feeling really proud of the boys. DARE TO DREAM

You could actually hear them. Especially towards the end of the last quarter. The “Mel - bourne!” chant was loud and clear.

Great win, the work rate after half time was fantastic, and credit to Goodwin for changing their mindset. Still plenty to work on but bloody hell its a good position to be in.

I am not sure either of Brown or Weideman will have a massive impact in our forward line the way the ball comes in and as a result Weideman really needs to take his chances if he wants to stay in. I think Weideman can make it at this level but not sure it’s at Melbourne though.

Yeah goody just said he didn't realise there were so many Melbourne fans in Sydney. He wants them to get to the SCG next week

Another rising star this week?

Sparrow had 19 touches at 80%, 5 tackles and the sealing goal.

The lad can play. Glad to see he took his chance tonight.

@DemonOX Hope you enjoyed that win, mate. Stay well.

How bloody good is this... two Fridays in a row where we get to kick back for the entire weekend and watch the rabble battle it out. ?

I know - it’s great listening to SEN on Saturday mornings after a Friday night win.

Without two powerhouses in Viney and Langdon too.

Bloody hell. I actually forgot about the absence of Langdon. After worrying about it all pre game.

Love the Spargs pump ups. I can’t think of another player I want with ball in hand forward of centre. He just does not waste it. Ever.

I was gonna say what a beautiful little Angel. But It’s more a case of what a beautiful little Demon. ❤️

Why was Salem in a tracksuit top?

Any updates on Salem?  Wasn’t subbed out so hopefully will be ok for Monday week.

In the postmatch Goodwin said that Salem is struggling with a few niggles with his body. Didn't specify what exactly, but is the same issue that kept him out against Adelaide. Him coming off early was just precautionary as we had the match sealed, and is expected to play next week.

To all those Melbourne fans lucky to be there tonight I hope you sing the song loud & proud.

I wish I was there, due to some personal family reasons was unable to go. Will be looking at getting tickets for QB though.

A poor first half.

But the second half was brilliant.

A Melbourne side a few years ago would have fallen apart due to the pressure.

However, not this team of Demons.

I am still taking it one game at a time. As I don't want the players drinking their own bath water.

Nevertheless, I dare to dream!

GO YOU DEMONS!!!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
