I know that this will be discussed at length during the weekly list of Demon's podcast, but I thought, would love to see a thread of what people thought was their main highlights from the game.

I might be going over it a bit too much - and maybe should move on - but gee got to celebrate the great wins!  Watched the replay yesterday, even better on second watch.

Anyway my top 3 highlights from the game:

1. The Trent Rivers spoil to stop a certain mark to Riewoldt.  Just the look on the face of Riewoldt, it was an act that I think captures perfectly the changing nature of this side.  It was almost as if Richmond just kept expecting us to fold, and in that moment Riewoldt expected it to come to him - think again.  This moment, plus the notable involvements of Dogga and Kozzy, excited me because it showed an "unburdened" young brigade coming through who know winning and don't have any baggage.

2. The Kozzy Pickett no backward steps - let's be honest, like the hawks last week, Richmond tried to bully the Dees.  We have always had a perception of being mentally weak (- for example when Port got after Max a couple years back).  I certainly have never seen us be the aggressor.  Nice to have an element of bully in our team as well.  Kozzy scares defences more and more each week, just opening up more space for Tommy Mc....

3. Charlie Spargo's tackle on Houli.  I could watch this over and over again.  He's quickly becoming a fan favourite.  Love it!

Deliberate spelling?? I love it and will now only refer to him in this manner.

What about Nibblers goal, 40 out on the boundary with a wet ball. That was when I thought 'Yep, we're on here.'

With only the club website to go on (long story!...) my vote is for the chain to that 9th goal, starting with Rivers's spoil (missed it on my first few viewings(!) until seeing Goodwin's presser then the OP), then Hunt's length-of the-ground repeat involvement (with Riewoldt(*) in fruitless pursuit, LOL), and the cameo handballs along the way. Spoilt only by Neal-Bullen not being allowed to complete his run into goal or dish off the handball to Jackson for his third run-in goal of the night.

(*Lowlight of the night: Riewoldt, presumably running the length of the ground to do so, pathetically shoving Pickett after the tail end of the last-goal rumble)

Tracc's snap in the last, all of the dees fan around me including myself got out of our seats for that one.

Hibbo's tagging job on dusty. Easy to forget about but vital to the win.

And to show how stupid the HS SuperCoach fantasy game is, he ranked second WORST of all players for the match (just ahead of medical sub Ross)!

I think on Last Crack last night they showed how committed we were and that was personified with Hibberd sprinting 60 meters to go match up Dusty

I loved Max charging through the middle after the one/two with Viney and Petracca, then hoofing if to Oliver/Spargoat who won the contest and got it out to Dogga for a clear run to goal.

That, Hunts run, and the other length of field passage that finished with Spargoat clearing the way for another Jackson goal were awesome.

A fascinating analysis of that here, Doc:

Good on you, Mr Hibberd!

Rivers’s spoil was huge (the commentary couldn’t even work out who it was). Highlighted the desperation we had.

Totally agree with the sentiments regarding Spargo, I watched the replay and there’s no doubt in my mind his tackle on Houli was a momentum swinger.

All of the above.  Plus the cheer that went up for Jones when he got the ball deep in defence in the last quarter (i think) and went back to kick.  Then a chant went up in the Demon Army with others joining .."Jonesy, Jonesy, Jonesy".

The other highlight was the Checker presentation where no one knew what the hec was going on, even the presenter and on top of that i couldn't hear what the hell she was even talking about in the lead up.  As great as the game was this was a big amateur chuckle from where I was.  Felt like a local / high school footy presentation  moment.

I loved the amount of times our small forwards made telling plays on the last line of defence.  A desperate tackle by ANB in Q1 and a spoil by Spargo on Lynch in Q2 come to mind.

I loved Maxy’s slap-punch on Nankirvis as they argued, and then his Cale Morton like running away from him...

Made me laugh.

Rich very first fwd 50 entry was broken up by ANB and Spargus Maximus on the last line of defence, it was awesome.
