It really frustrates me how McDonald and Tomlinson can get games ahead of Petty and Mitch Brown

Vandenberg, Jetta and McDonald.  We are in huge trouble if these guys are playing this year. Have looked incredibly slow and way past it now.

How true I would also put in Jones in there.

Understand we have some personel issues today, but there are some serious alarm bells ringing.

Our distribution out of the back half is terrible. We look so slow with our movement. Clearance work no existent.

Yze would be fine tuning his Ideas for mid season i reckon.

Our depth is appealing. 4-5 injuries later in the season and we may as well call it a day

"I've been really disappointed in our younger players. None of them look up to it unfortunately. Who picks these blokes ?

Spargo would struggle to get a kick at vfl." (Quote from another post).

Thanks for reminding me why I blocked you Elegt. You're a beauty.

honestly, the free kick differential is neither here nor there for mine - they have simply wanted it more, got to the front position, and worked far harder defensively

Our youth/depth is appalling. A few injuries and we need to rely on Jordan, Chandler and Baker

We have plenty of areas to improve and no need to worry which or any of our recruits will be in the round 1 side

glad it’s March!!

BIt rich when it happens in nearly every game, every year, and remarkably winning or losing.

Bring em back to reality , says AFLeas....

Nice kick Maxy. I was expecting him to shank it.

Great clubs have depth and cover outs.

We cant.

They also wield the axe when necessary.

We dont.

Have to agree with this. Tomlinson should have been dropped (more than he was) last year. Jetta is now done and Tom McDonald is no longer good enough.

If we think Laurie may be the answer at HB, play him in the practice match instead of Jetta. If we want to see where Petty is at, play him ahead of Adam 'The Statue' Tomlinson today. Want to see if Mitch Brown is a better option than McDonald with the faster pace? Play him

Steven May, may you play until you're 40.

Has been awesome. Lever a standout as well.

Fritta and Anb good the other end.

Oh ffs May down. Can this train wreck of a game end already?

Jackson has done ok for a kid

Chandler will be ok too if we don't burn him.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
