I think you all need to back off a bit on Omac, ok he didn’t end up as we were all hoping, but a lot of you keyboard warriors who have probably never played a competitive game of football in your lives .

Pretty average

Get over yourself, it’s a fan forum, what were you expecting? Oscar is a bog average footballer who likely wouldn’t even dominate club footy. How he stayed with us do long is a bit beyond me.

Rapt with that.  I really want Oscar to find a new home.  He has more to offer.

I think he will probably be a bargain wherever he goes. IMO the best out-of-contract player we have. Just isnt working for him at present. At 196cm and 24(?) yrs old, his best is in front of him, but still may be a year off. I expect him to be in the ones at Adelaide and pushing into top 25 if at Pies. He is friends with Darcy Moore already and they may work together well.

For interest's sake, the current pick currency at Adelaide and Collingwood stands at:

Adelaide: 1, 9, 22, 23, 33, 40, 50, 56, 66, 80

Collingwood: 16, 39, 42, 75, 92

Whereas we have: 26, 43, 68, 69, 89

I wonder what the FD can wrangle out of the above?

My guess is they will take anything to find him a new home. I expect the pick will 80 at the crows or 92 at pies. Good luck O Mac.

The Crows have lost Hartigan and might need to replace him.

Yes, would give them some cover.

Adelaide's Pick 56 would be  nice and after-all it is their 8th pick in the draft.

Think @Rolling Stone's on the money of it's Collingwood.

I'd suggest we offer Oscar and pick 43 for Adelaide's Pick 33

I'd take either 66 (if Adelaide want him), or 75 (if Collingwood want him).

Can't see this happening at all.  Is a lot in our favour.

Sounds just like Demonland... kidding Andy!

He will be a bargain pick up for whoever gets him.

New coach and structure and he will do wonders! I think at 24yo, Adelaide is a good fit for him for a long career... Can’t trust the Pies these days!

Wait, you're not banned? Just be careful and don't call him out for his [censored]. He'll tell everyone not to abuse him and then abuse anyone he likes. Also, have you seen the spoof page? Best page if you're after a laugh.

the spoof page is hilarious! i've been banned but i can still view posts, just not comment. the young man who runs it wasn't happy with my suggestion that Christian Petracca was a better player than jack Billings.

How would you know? They both bever played.

One didn’t have the body to stand up to the rigours of AFL. The other, well he had just about 0 AFL qualities (especially the hunger/dedication) - even his own manager told him to expect being taken as a late 2nd/3rd round pick.

No news in the main channels about OMac.  Also ANB was named before the period and now all is quiet.  No interest, or just not interesting??

They mentioned on AFL Exchange today that Neal-Bullen was looking around at options but there was no interest from other clubs

Petty has a lot of potential and I hope we can more games into him but if we're targeting Brown and another wingman (previously Smith) the club is gunning for a premiership with with the list we've got.

Tarrant could fill the void if May or Lever goes down, could Petty or Smith? Unlikely at this stage.

Petty will very soon if he gets a good run at it.

Crows would be a good fit. They need to replace Hartigan.  Oscar didn’t develop and clearly was not up to AFL Standard.  Embarrassed by rookies Georgiades and Mcinerney. We bid him farewell.

Oscar and MFC pick 43 for Crows pick 40.

OR

Oscar for Crows pick 66

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
