Could Stef Martin make his way back to the Demons? Seemingly on the outer at Brisbane and Mahoney has identified the need for a Ruck/Foward as Preuss is off to GWS. I think he'll be an option for us for a year or 2 playing 5 - 10 games a year. He will come cheap and suits our need as a backup option with good leadership and mentoring for our list.

I am shocked that a club is declaring it will play hardball on trading two of its players away.
Oh wait, no I am not, it’s Bombers  on Saad and Fantasia. Dodoro the most hated list manager in the game is at it again.

I believe so. But it could be worth getting in his ear. We will likely go deep into finals next year. It would be a nice finish for him as opposed to going to a rebuilding Essendon who's players are leaving in droves. Players at the end of their careers want success and a chance at lifting the cup.

Let Dodoro keep the players there against their will.

Their culture is already a mess, that would finish them off for good.

Wow. That’s about as likely as an outsider leading all the way to win the Melbourne Cup!

Club will be aggressive. We will have a future first round pick to trade out plus several picks we'll be able to package together which we receive from our departing players. I would be very, very surprised if Brown is the only best-22 addition we add this off season.

agreed we will get more picks for players we swap out. What l would like to see is quality players that are free agents wanting to come to Mfc. Top players that don’t cost us a draft pick.

I think this is a great idea for the reasons you’ve outlined. A quality back up, smart guy and possibly wouldn’t cost too much.  For me, more preferable than McKernan.

Stefan could also go back into defence maybe as an extra key position defender at CHB.

Whisper of us looking at Marley Williams, delisted by Kangas.  Anyone heard that?

Haven't heard that, but reckon it's a great move. With Jetta on his last legs, getting another small defender in on the cheap would be smart.

Am waiting for the following post.

"Trade week has been open for over 2 hours and we haven't got anyone yet. Mahoney should to be sacked."

People were whinging that Mahoney hadn't done anything before the Trade period had even began, the horse has already bolted. Also, watch the same people be happy with our trading after it is all said and done. Happens every year.

PS. I don't understand the hatred for Mahoney, I believe he's done very well in recent years.

so now we aren't going to try and get another winger?

we didn't get Smith and now all of a sudden our other wing is good enough - happy to be proven otherwise but I would be trying to get someone who can fill that role

Any word on Polec?

Agree. We were keen on a 31yo for 3 years to fix our OBVIOUS GAP in the team. But now we will “build from within”.
Bi-polar is my professional evaluation!

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
