Beautiful Reading ?

Trelaor will be paid out, no other Club is going to touch that situation if they have an ounce of intelligence.
This could stuff the Filth for years

The $100k offered each year by the Pies, is totally insignificant. If that is all they will pay, he is staying put.

With luck Mr. Leg, would love to see them stuck with his salary for next 4 years.

Treloar would be nice...! But too expensive and 28. We can spend money elsewhere and be smart about it...!

I would like to see us put the time into Harmes to get back to his best! Because his best is very good. He can play a lockdown role on opposing teams best mid and win his own ball... And can push forward and kick a goal or two!

We shouldn’t underestimate the list we already have! The cattle is there... it’s whether the coach can get his sh#t together!

This is just a really really bad breakup and it just went wrong.

The pies fans are filthy and want answers.

Not sure where Adam will ended up but it will be odd if it's at another melbourne club. I mean the pies think he will not cope with his wife away but as he has said it's something they did discuss.

Id have him.

Absolutely. They are passing on a complete meltdown to a club 1-2 years later

Exactly, if someone wants to take on the other 800k a year they have rocks in their heads...

I wonder if covid and its affect on salary caps is an issue too, preventing the contract from being restructured?

For example: maybe if they offload him Collingwood is prepared to pay more next year, but not in year 5, but Treloar may not want to "front end" his contract to 2021 in case we dont have crowds and salaries are halved again.

Think of it like the Jack Martin effect.

Harmes going into the midfield against Brisbane was instrumental to our late comeback in that game.

It is actually worse.

His last 3 years are reported at well over $1m each year.

That could be about $1.1m - $1.2m a year, for 3 last years of his contract at age 30-32. WOW! That is mind blowing.

For some reason 28 is considered ''old'' by many footy fans, especially Melb. supporters.

Shaun Burgoyne was 27 when he joined Hawthorn with a knee that was supposedly ''bone on bone''.  He's spent 11 years there.

But I sort of get it.  Melbourne players are usually cooked by the time they're 30.  What is it about the MFC ?

Unless Collingwood pay at least $250K they can keep Treloar.

the higher pick you give up, the more the filth should pay

give up a first rounder? pies should have a third of his salary going under their cap for the duration of the five years

the fact that they only want to pay $100k of the rumoured $900k for 2021 and NOTHING after that for the remaining four years is a joke

Apologise to the journo I said was a liver based on Nathan Buckley’s tweet denying why had been reported. What the hell is wrong with Collingwood, I hope it blows up in Nafan and Eddie’s face next season.

I'd love to know if we were ever interested in Treloar. Would have loved him, but anyway, it is what it is.

"The Magpies are playing hard-ball on the amount to which they will commit, and are taking the view that this is not their problem.

It is believed the clubs are as far apart as $200,000 a year on at least one season of the five-season deal.”

So this is getting uglier by the minute. Thank god we didn't get involved in this deal. Also can't believe a deal can be signed off without the remuneration side of things sorted out.

Simple solution.

In law, where parties are not " ad Idem" or of" one mind", in other words where the terms of a contract are uncertain, it can where possible be set aside.

Therefore the Trade is declared void and Treloar returns to the Pies.

That threat, would bring a solution to the problem.

Player Agents and the Players Association must be furious with the Pies.

That seems like the appropriate outcome, but will the AFL have the guts to enforce something like that?

Sweet Jesus, what a rabble. They have lawyers And contracts for a reason. They extended Treloar LAST year. One of the worst handling of a player I can recall

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
