Isn’t it wonderful?! Except it’s Geelongscum.Ā

Ā

well that was a high scoring qtr 1 point each

think jeelong will just play keepings off this last qtr to save themselves for prelim

How bad are the pies. 7 points to three quarter time is truly pathetic.

The filth simply not getting a touch

Boring football!!!

Collingwood losing is never boring.

HowĀ Darcy Moore is an All Australian is beyond me. He’s been horrific. HadĀ 4 clear turnovers. Only ever plays well when given free range and noĀ pressure.

May is 4 times the player he is.

Plays similarly to his ol' man IMHO. Both very overrated.Ā

Richo, the King and Lewis are about the only commentators that ever raise an eyebrow on controversial decisions and / or discuss aspects of the game that have been ruined by Vlad and others that have followed in his disastrous footsteps.

I'm not watching the game but watched Richmond/Lions last week with Daisy Pearce doing special comments.
She's got 'em all covered.
Insiteful and coherant.

Quite a few years ago, pulling a combined 500K.

Seriously this is a semi final and collingwood have had only 2 scoring shots and only the 1 goal. It's a disgrace. Like I thought our prelim was bad. Kane Cornes was right, he just said it in the wrong week.Ā

But this is terrible.Ā

I hope this quarter the cats just keep attacking but not so sure after that 3rd quarter.Ā

agree... a very strange quarter given the half time score.

Geelong dominated but just didn't want to push it.

It’s good to see another club have similar issues to us. Brody Grundy signs a seven year close to a mil a year contract last year, if he was out of contract this year it would be about half that. Grundy regularly does nothing in big games, ruckman are so overrated.

Grundy's been terrible all year. Something's NQR.Ā

really good to Eddie sitting there pleased

that goal Ā I wonder if he will smile ?

Geelong finished 10 points and 27% ahead of them in a shortened season and had an extra two days rest coming into this game. Eddie's mob coming back from Perth after a taxing win.

The result isn't a surprise, the ease of the win is.

Agree. Hasn't been able to get out of second gear for weeks.

Ā

I wonder if the Pies will review the game?

Nothing strange about the third quarter. Cats shut it down so there was no chance of a come back. Pies hope would have been to make up four goals in the third, then try to make up the rest in the lastĀ but they had nothing.

Cats now turn it on in the last to tune up for next week.

Weid for Moore and mihocekĀ

Isn't it great the commentators talking the Filth's season up? Like us, theirĀ listĀ needs a sh?t load of work. They arn't that good.Ā

Commentators don’t seem to think it is necessaryĀ

Gee we reckon we have some holes on the list and players that aren't good enough, have a look at Collingwood. Their best are very good but they had so many passengers tonight. Some there are seriously overpaid and with Pendles and Sidebottom the wrong side of 30 they have some issues.. Good result though

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle.Ā As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.Ā

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
