Think you got the top 6 right. The order of the top 3 could change: ie. while petracca may be the media favourite, either Oliver or May could win.Ā

Ā

Probably just me but I find B and F awards in a failure year of little interest. It is probably a big deal for the players but as a supporter it is like celebrating mediocrity for me. Whoever wins it is no doubt a good player in the scheme of things, just does not work for me.Ā

I’m not calling it a failure year at all. 2019 was a complete failure. Ā 2020 showed what we can deliver but it should be remembered as an inconsistent and crazy year. Hard to gauge and I still believe we got shafted by the fixture.Ā
Ā

Nonetheless the top 6 are daylight our best for the year. I’d love to see Trac win it and agree Langdon is a smoky. Ā Steven May could surprise as his efforts and strength in every game should be rewarded by the coaches. Ā

May, Langdon or PetraccaĀ  they have played every game and performed outstandingly. Second to none Professional - like.Ā Ā

No disrespect to Oliver he has had a consistent year.Ā  Imo Christian Petracca has had a standout year and gave us what weĀ  expect of him.Ā  Ā Ā I think he will receive the Bluey Truscott ....... S MAY and LangdonĀ  will be close behind.

If Christian claims the B&F it will be interesting to hear his speech.

Ā

Best first year player will be interesting.Ā  Jackson started strong, Pickett had a good Middle and Rivers finished strong.Ā  Think Rivers should get this, his last 4-6 games have been outstanding

BNF

Petracca

May

Langdon

Gawn

Oliver

Ā

Ā

New players to clubs often do well as the heirarchy likes to congratulate themselves on their astute recruiting

May and Langdon to do very well.

Petraccas score involvements will rate highly as will his flexibility around the ground.

Gawn, Oliver and Viney should also rate highly

Salem late was good but wasn't consistent.

Be very surprised if the top 5 came from outside this lot.

Ā

I'll goĀ

Petracca

May

Langdon

Gawn

Oliver

Viney

Ā

Here's my predicted top 10. Gawn would have been higher but missing games really costs you in Melbourne's B+F system

I assume he is in Melbourne. Not all teams get Eddie special treatment.

Yes He is in Melbourne, Looked like the MCG Gents room

Congratulations to May for winning the JMac Award.Ā  Very much deserved.

But the applause was almost non-existent...is there anyone in the room?

You can tell Bartlett’s livid aboutĀ missing finals. Probably mentioned it about 6 times in his speech.

Good. I am also [censored] off

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's Ā six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.Ā

  • AFLW PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The Demons return to Casey Fields (aka the Field of Dreams) this Saturday to host the Saints in Round 2. If you’re feeling lucky, head down the Monash for some family-friendly footy—you might even walk away a winner. The first 5,000 adults through the gate will receive an entry into the $10,000 helicopter ball drop. With Casey’s infamous wind, what could possibly go wrong? Closest ball to the pin wins. So spread the word, get down there—and good luck!
