How long are going to play Picket hoping he produces something?

I think he has tremendous talent, but he is too easily brushed away when tackling. MUst learn that at his size.

It's a tricky one. You want to get games into him but, on current output alone, you'd do just as well (imo) giving Toby Bedford a go

I reckon his size might be a concern for his whole career, he's definitely got some tricks but is often too early through traffic before the real heat comes.

He might win us a game with a flash of brilliance, but it will be 1 in 10 or worse

Give him a breather and give Bedford a run now.

Petracca - coach killing him

Brayshaw - one way footballer

Oliver - talent not maximised

Fritsch - reliably erratic again

Hibberd - replace with Rivers

Lever - not what purchased

May - value for money

McDonald - plateaued at average

Weideman - doesn't deliver consistently

Langdon - good opposition exposed

Tomlinson - good depth player

Melksham - absolutely no leadership

Pickett - man love today

Lockhart - worth persisting with

Viney, VDB, Harmes - same, same, same

Hannan - swap for Bevo

Spargo - doesn't kill opposition

Sparrow - development progressing slowly

Preuss - very disappointing performance

Salem - disappointing under pressure

Coaches - absolutely no imagination

Head coach - Put on Jobseeker

Bevo - Melbourne should get

I am sorry ,he is a delegator. Steven May is the lynchpin of our backline. Lockart is the improver

The problem with our defence is the lack of pressure & presence of our smallr fowds , who ällowed"Footdcray to move the ball down the ground at will. Players like Daniel & Liberatore set people like Bont, MCrae & Smith up in moving the ball down the ground with the least resistance BECAUSE they choose the right options (and are given time to do so).

I thought Tomlinson could hold his head high today.  Ditto Lever. Our midfield was deplorable for the bulk of the game.  Viney gave his usual wholehearted effort but to limited effect.  Petracca and Oliver might as well have not played for all the influence they had (and I am a fan of both). You could throw Brayshaw into that as well. The forward half pressure was non existent.  Harmes is just a shadow. And our relatively simple shots that we missed just meant at no stage could we put effective score board pressure on. Much more than three words I know.  Goodwin  was given a lesson in how to adjust during a game.  Beveridge completely outcoached him.

Viney, Vanders, Langdon, May all tried their guts out.
harsh on vineys disposal as he was being tackled most times he was kicking. Viney was the one leading the way in the midfield with aggression, tackling and pressure. If only others followed

Spargo a poor game with 2 rippers in the bank. Fritta was good today with 8 marks.

Weid is good but canr seem to maintain his intent for 4 qrtrs.

Hannan, Harmes and Tmac have had their day it seems.

Pickett is just starting out so needs more time.

Back to the drwaing board.

To be fair to Goody who would want this bloody iob.

They would be lining up for his job and his salary. The coaching industry is decimated.

Viney would be a great Rugby player as he tries to beat tackle after tackle after tackle. I'll say it again Fritsch is soft and a very unreliable kick for goal/

Fritsch is a skinny lad. Playing as a main fwd when he shouldn’t be. Regularly marked by blokes 15kgs heavier and he flies for marks with zero concern for his safety. He is naturally an outside player so won’t be at the bottom of packs.
soft is harsh

I think Fritsch is probably getting away with a lot more than he should due to his couple of goals each week.

He’s getting a fair few looks at it, but is very selective as to when he has a crack.

Fritsch and Melksham give zero defensive pressure and neither are consistent enough to demand the respect of their opponent.

Forward line is still an issue and will be for as long as Melksham gets an armchair ride
