Seriously not enough love for this guy. Throws himself at every content's and won some genuine won on won's down back. Loved his intercept mark in the first quarter also.

He shows a lot of traits of Jetta when he was at his peak.

Fantastic game tonight.

Yes he brings a lot of pressure and mostly solid with his disposal, good overhead as well, fits in very well in the back half and deserves his spot every week.

Am I right saying he is equally adapt on either side?

Yep.

Can just as easily play as a small forward and play it well also.

Remember his Freo and Hawks game last year?

I love Jetta ,but Lockart is his reincarnation . SImilar traits insofar as Courage, Toughness  and "Teamness". HAs been  extremely solid . Notice the other wekk when he appeared to fighting outside his weight range and May came in to help him out. Back six is gelling.

Love this guy but needs to check his stops. Slips over at crucial moments, that is his only downside. Otherwise he often attacks from back pocket to set up plays the opposition never saw coming.

SOLID.  Better kick than Jetta too, more accomplished than I thought..

yep good game

just sometimes he puts a little too much mayo on his kicking, need to cut that out as a backman and take the easier kick option

agree about the stops

Really excited by his development. Well done, Jay and Matty Egan.

He did slip a bit too much for my liking tonight, but he's got courage, he's got nice agility and is neat with his disposal. These are traits of Nev. Perfect replacement.

What I like about Lockhart is he's cool in a crisis. Oh and he has a red hot go. Compliments that backline well.

Uncle Nev is gonna have to do something special to get back into this team.

Just a point of order... there are some things that Jetta brought that Jay may develop.

Jets is really annoying to small forwards (and others). He has a nifty way of holding on without being pinged. I have heard, first hand, team mates complain about this in pre-season simulation training, to the point where Dunny once advised his team to, "just hit him"!

Jets rarely panics... if he is beaten he just fronts up for the next contest.

Jets knows when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.!

He's a beauty and can see him being a really important player for us heading into October.

Noted this. Always seems to slip over

Loved the moment when he sprinted back to the goal line to contest a ball and cannonned into the point post. Great closing speed.

Can he and Rivers play in the same team? I know they have different attributes, but in terms of experience level for the lead in to potential finals.

Harmes to fwd/wing rotation at the expensive of Jones, Rivers to half-back (not talking about for next week, as Jones was good, but that'd be my idea, considering it looks like Harmes will never be dropped).

Always been a fan. I was very vocal on him not being in the team earlier this year. He’s far from a finished product, but he’s exactly what we need in the back pocket going forward. Quick, tough, aggressive tackler, takes the game on, good kick.

With Jetta on his last legs, Lockhart should be a mainstay in the back pocket for the foreseeable future.
