We have to stop calling Salem a great kick. He’s barely even a good kick.

16 disposals, 8 clangers.

Great goal to the yellow guys,

some ...yellow/red/black

I can only distinguish Red& baby blue and the other guys with a bit of yellow.

We're in trouble!

We are in front, yet I feel just as bad as I did last week.

We have so many passengers and blokes that, right now, aren't AFL standard.  It's terrible.

Salem has gone backwards.  Can hit a target over 15 metres and that's it.  Gus has no impact.  Bennell looks like he is running across ice and doesn't want to be touched.

Only plus for me is May.   Has been sensational, and love that he is bashing and crashing and sticking up for his teammates.

Seen enough. If this is the club response after last week then we should fold. Not even joking. Soulless.

Seriously how many passengers do we have.

Angus brayshaw.  Has been a passenger for 2 years and goodwin continually refuses to drop him

Deplorable. Goodwin has lost the players. It's going to be a long two years.

Harmes pushed in the back. Play on. Can’t buy a free.

We can’t but instead of worrying about that let’s concentrate on the things we can control. Like I don’t know, learning to kick a football.

This is the classic lose lose game

Yep this team is trash. This game just looks and feel like a bottom two clash. I'm not looking forward to getting beaten by 6 goals by norf on Sunday

Woeful kicking to open players inside 50.  What is happening at training?  Do we train this at all?  Doesn't appear that way.

Salem's cost us 2 goals now.  1 dopey push in the back in the middle and one horrid 45 kick straight to a crow forward.

He's done a few good kicks, offset by a few horrible acts.  So Melbourne

If harmes just gave the umpire lip, we can’t expect 50:50s to go our way

Good on him. If Goodwin has courage he'll be asking some questions of them too.

Gees the unpiring is just terrible

I'm most annoyed about the lack of 50 when we finally got a holding the ball free kick and Talia just drops the ball to the ground.

Who needs a cheer squad when you have these commentators.

Salem .. 50% disposal efficiency, 8 clangers & 3 frees against. Our best players are going backwards at the rate of knots.

Is McHenry the biggest germ in football? We are a disgrace make no mistake if Bartlett is worth anything he will sack Goodwin after the match we are going no where with him. The worst coach in  the comp.

Holding the ball rule has anyone know what it is anymore?

I’m excited for the Goodwin [censored] fest post game

Just... hit a target. I don't understand how you can be so bad at something you've not only practiced almost your whole life, and get paid seriously good coin to do.

It's actually disrespectful.

Agree on May only player who looks like he gives a Crap

Nibbler is agricultural.  We are panicking all over the ground.  Skills are awful.  Umpiring is abysmal.  If you didnt see the score, you would think we were being flogged

Maybe this is why the players have given up because the umpires do not give us any frees, i know i would be $#((#$ off as well

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
