Yeah Goodwins done. We don't know where to run to, where to stand and we're kicking long to Carey and Brereton except we have no forwards. Wasting a list now. Cooked

Smith has to be dropped for not manning the mark properly. Unforgivable

Poor option by Fritsch.  Straight in to no-mans land then Tigers rebound.  Had two easy options in front of him on the boundary.

Obviously we have instructions from the coach to use the corridor - but yet another example of poor footy IQ when the kick was definitely not on.

lever had a touch yet?

Useless player.  Gave away two first rounders for him...

We’re trying at least, we’re just not good enough. Talent is there, gameplan is not.

Gawn is being schooled and not showing any ticket.

Will be good to see what he is made of then.

Oliver’s disposal today has been abysmal.

Fake crowd needs to be toned down a bit, jesus christ

my second wife was a better player than lever ,get rid of the moe you lily white [censored]

I count ONE contested mark inside out forward 50 so far today.

same old - can't hit a target forward of centre and can't finish

Fritta ...Clarry ....2 shocking turnovers under little pressure

Clayton Oliver can’t kick

Not enough composure with ball.  He has to make better judgements.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
