1st quarter

- winning the footy but disposal poor

- overhandballing still

Harmes on ball (good)

Petracca getting it done. 14 possessions

- missed tackles are costing us goals

Pickett is a beauty. Skills. Pace. How’s the leap !!

Oliver’s handball to Gawn then is why he will never be a great player. He chooses terrible options time and time again. He has got worse since he started.

He is too Manic, once he has the ball.   he has to be composed once he wins ball.

Mix of very good and very poor.

Intensity was there for 12 minutes.

Fritta is playing up the ground.

Salem is cracking in.

Ball use a couple of times excellent.

Petracca.

Bad: Gawn and Tomlinson vying for WoG.

That was an enjoyable quarter of footy.

Good Lord I hope bennell gets fit soon. We need his kicking skills more than we need competitive beasts.

Am I right in thinking Bedford is a a good kick? If so I'd put him straight in.

We work so hard for so little result. But we kickec two great goals through agaggresse kicks. I hope they keep it up. Rather lose attacking then lose in a scrappy game of rugby

Doing well.  Tracc on fire.  We dont ALWAYS have to take the game straight through the middle.  Yes if its there....bit if outlets are closed you are allowed to go laterally or backwards to maintain possession / hold the play up.

Some cleaner / smarter ball use in the clinches and we're a chance here.

Great mark by TMac earlier too.

He needs to clunk more of those in front of the goals.

Shut the [censored] up Hamish!

Just said they hope they don't overule.

Absolute [censored]

Steven May would want to do something soon. Getting smashed again. Worried we've made a monumental blunder here. Try him forward, Tmac back

They look and play remarkably similarly. But Hunt’s hair is much more luxurious. Langdon wishes he had Hunt’s hair.

It's all in the Nippy's

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
