Self-loathing?

... Yeah, that's when you're in the last couple of days in the world as you know it, and still subject yourself to this torture. I deserve no better. I'm going to watch this until the end, and then count the sheets on my few remaining toilet rolls.

Recycling is probably more the order of the day from here RBM

How can anyone defend this gameplan.

We have seven more inside 50's and we're almost 6 goals down

Ask Saty.

Oliver and Bradshaw can only run one way, Lockhart, viney and Pickett the rest are just woeful.

Push May forward and Tmac back.

May has done nothing wrong, and Tmac has done nothing

Done with zonal defending

I was done with it early 2019 layzie.  You are more rusted on than me then...oh wait

How much football do we have to watch where we get beaten the EXACT same way?

Winning the inside 50’s but bombing the ball to no one. It’s been the same for 20+ games.

The game plan stinks.

we are currently in 16th position on the live ladder We have moved up 1 position :)

I guess thats positive? come 2036, at this rate, we will win a premiship

When is Hibberd going to realise it is not a long kicking copetition ???

F— off Spargo.

Cannot play Spargo and Bedford in the same side. We are too small otherwise, Spargo has lost it or never had it and Bedford has a long way to go.. Jones and Salem both missed. for setups and grunt.

If we are bombing it into our fwd line, why are our forwards always leading to the ball?

We are on par with Gold Coast hands down.

Langdon has actually been decent, his basic accumulation disposals (short kicks, handballs) have mostly been good but it’s the penetrating danger kicks that have let him (and us down).

Petracca has flashed in and out, similar to previous seasons. I think he needs to be pushing forward more though.

Gawn’s been well beaten by NikNat.

Brayshaw extremely disappointing. Needed to nail at least one of his kicks on goal.

Figuring this out just now loges?

Was prepared to give benefit of the doubt until this year, there were other issues last year but all the structural issues haven't been addressed. I'm not one who likes to bag the club ad nauseam

CB we are only a few hours into the lock down and your already feeling a tad NQR i see! (Ss*)

No way, this game is making me feel great!

2 more months to work on our shortcomings, because we obviously haven’t addressed them in the previous 6 months.

If you can’t use the ball in today’s footy you get belted. We have 15 years of this problem.
Disposal skill is nearly the most important element of the game. Look at Hibberd turned over every single possession.
We are the worst disposal side in the AFL on the games this week.

Goodwin should be telling the players this is your last hit out for ten weeks, how do you want do go into this period?

This isn't just the cattle. Structurally we are awful. Goodwin is a 90s footballer with a 90s gameplan. We peaked during a patch in 2018. He's lucky the season is postponed. Regardless of the season outcome he'll probably coach in 2021. But we see the same issues.

I agree. I have watched every game and our skills are hopeless.  Our transition is nowhere.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
