I reckon the red needs to be deeper/darker

I liked the pink colour that Schwab introduced with that logo shambles and the collar on our jumper…….oh and the Premiership cups on the back. What a deadset clown he was.

best thing that dave larkin did for us from a graphic design perspective was change the logo to being solely red and blue

Are they from Dulux or Porters Paints charts?

Pantone is Pantone

Spoke to someone that has involvement with the racecourse and MFC arrangement. Says the deal is all but done. Currently just going over logistics with the shared use of the oval between MFC, scopus and the community. Announcement will be made by years end.

I have no doubt that the deal might be done, but what about funding?

Get Excited everyone.

I walked the area today and it is massive.

Not sure exactly where our part will be.

I have sent some photos of the area and surrounds to Demonland and he might post some of them later.

The area for the ovals is right across from our area.

I saw the second tunnel that has been referred to, which goes from the area under the track to the ovals area.

The transport will be sensational, with the train station right across the road and bus and tram nearby.

Hopefully the Official announcement is not far off now.

We should end up with the best facilities of any club and that should help recruiting.

I am getting excited.

The funding is all but secured with only a $30M gap that the club knows it can cover through wealthy benefactors like @Redleg

It’s hard to believe this really might be happening! Not sure we’d have ”the best” training facilities would we ? I mean certainly in the upper echelon I’d be hoping but there’s some big clubs out there.

Loose change for Chris Barlow.... just follow him with net at the next board meeting will probably just fall out of his pocket 🤣

😀

I wish.

But I am Member Number 100 of the Foundation Heroes.

Do you have any idea of the types of buildings we are looking at building?

Lots of ways to raise that $30m though. Naming rights donations from wealthy supporters is an obvious one.

Sponsors doing a one off increase in their sponsorship contribution.

A one off raffle say with an inside the Coaching Box experience or whatever could raise a lot.

Sale of memorabilia is another.

I am just waiting for the Joint MFC/MRC membership to be offered with added benefits like cheaper food and drink at the Glasshouse and at racing days in the food and drink areas.

Exciting times.

But being the newest, you would hope we would be aiming for the best.

I notice this nwhen I see Collingwood's rooms at the MCG. Honour boards are all over the walls. Where f. are ours? Club with the richest history and nothing to be seen of it in OUR rooms. That should be improved. I love walking through the MCC and seeing photos of the Team of the Century, but that stuff needs to be exposed to the players too.

Our cups are (were) all on display at AAMI.

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
