A steal at 97? An absolute punt !!

I think Charlie Sprague (Falcons under 18s might be available)   Saw his 2018 highlights and thought unlucky not to be drafted.  Agile, great mark. Goalkicker   Played for Barwon Heads senior team and as a overager in Falcons team.  From the Falcons footy factory, he has the makings of a AFL player.

Lachlan Potter (nth knights under 18s) - pacy running mid. Absolutely a classic wingman. Vic metro rep. Got injured 2/3rds through the year. You can never bypass kids with footy smarts and lightning pace. Likely to be drafted imo at 50-60+ but could slip.   Would be one not to ignore

Perhaps a mature age type

Sam Lowson (Coburg)- 22 -small forward.
Will Fordham (Frankston) -23 - tall running ruck Rover Hayden Schloithe (Sth Fremantle) -26 - solid running mid Jordan Lockyer (Subiaco)26 - 193cm full back - ex Sydney Swans listed / best defender in WAFL

I’d definitely grab Schloithe.  Ready to go. Past 4 years has been one of the best mids in WAFL. Will be a guaranteed player to cover any midfield role.  Would succeed and cannot underestimate him given success of Pickett, Menegola and Kelly.

Potentially the last pick of the draft. This gives us time to reflect on who hasn’t been picked up and possibly rethink about some players. Last year it might have been a Sydney Stack.

Somebody with a criminal record that we wouldn't ordinary touch with a 10 foot barge pole.

Wonder if Emerson Jeka might still be available then?

More info please PSD?

Are we able to pass here and keep open the PSD, delisted free agents or the mid season draft? Or do we need to take 3 players at the draft?

Sam Kekovich.

Ex Tiger OD, whose playing in the SANFL with Glenelg. Key Forward.

Although I believe we are showing some interest in and have interviewed Ben Sokol from Subiaco.

Another forward OD but not that tall, more of a medium size. Kicked 60 in the WAFL this season

He's also over 2m tall, mid 20s and topped the goalkicking for Glenelg this year. He walked out on the Tigers because he didn't want to play footy anymore, grew up a bit and decided he really does want to play, hence the SANFL. Good on set shots too.

Fair dinkum if our recruiting staff fail to find a 200 game superstar 100 goal a year KPF then they should be sacked immediately.

I'm happy to put my hand up.  2 year deal, minimum wage (I'm happy to take a hit on what I'm on now).  A couple of years of free tracksuits, dieticians, personal trainers, and any free goodies that some of the stars are happy to throw my way.  I won't even request a trade at the end of next season or the one after.  Also happy to put up with 2 years of fan criticism on Demonland.

Just call me the modern day Lucas Cook.

Looking forward to “The The Chazz Thread”!

What about Aliesha Newman, a speedy goalsneak, worth a punt?

Harley Bennell if he is still available. And yes, at pick 97 I'm deadly serious.

He won't be in the draft. He's a free agent. He can simply walk in to whichever club comes to an agreement with him.

I’ll watch the 3 minute highlight clip and decide if I like him or not. Then praise or slander him for the rest of his career based on my decision, just to prove I was right.

That covers 99% of us on 'Land

Malcom Rosas Jnr is expected to be a late draft/rookie prospect.

Kicked 2 goals in the Casey vs Australia U18s game earlier this year also.

Jarvis Pina from WA if still available at 97 is who I’d select. Looked a class above in the first half of under 18’s championship game between WA and Vic country. Doesn’t seem to be in any ones potential draft lists.

Sam Philp. 186cm mid. Missed state selection and was very disappointed. Had a great year at the Knights. Can play inside and outside. Tested amazing at the combine. Very good kick, very quick and very good endurance. Not mentioned much in an phantoms. Got invited to the combine so someone is interested. Kicked 9 goals in 14 games playing as a mid.

A good call.  But he got the combine call up and tested to a high standard athletically so given that, I’d expect him to go at or around 60.  He is the type we need.  Quick.  Quick.  Quick.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
