I watched it with my younger brother. We were literally holding each other, trembling, the last minute. In all seriousness, it’s taken me so long to post because we’ve only just let go. My heart is still pounding.

What a win! It’s usually games like this we throw away. So many games I’ve seen the past few years where we were in front and the other team caught up and managed to steal a win. Its usually the opponents who steal a win like that. Thought it was over when GC kicked that goal, but for once, we stood up where it counted and never gave up. One of the best finishes I’ve ever seen to what was a mostly average game. Great to see Jones back in firm.

Now we’re ordering pizza and going to have celebration drinks.

Go Dees!

Well I must be the only one who’s stoked. Yes the game was a bucket of pus, but I wasn’t expecting anything but. We’re not contenders this year, we knew that.

I still like winning above all else, and we did. I jumped through the roof at the end as if it mattered.

BOLLOCKS, IM RIGHT THERE WITH YOU NASHER!!!!  ???? MY WIFE THINKS IVE LOST IT, MY KIDS THINK IM GOD. Absolutely loving that win.

Can’t wait to watch the 4 quarter replay of this classic. If you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favour and stick hot pins up your taint instead.

Both Gold Coast’s supporters will be fuming.

Hahaha my 5yo and 3yo girls and I went completely troppo after both Hore’s goal and Tmacs point, sh it test game ever but also one of the most incredible last couple of minutes I’ve ever seen.

Whinge and moan all you like people but right now I’m loving life and loving the opportunity of having this moment with my kids!!!

GO YOU GOOD THINGS!!!

Onya coach, me too. I’m honestly shocked to jump on to Demonland to a funeral-like response, I thought I’d be sharing the love with fellow Dees fans. Guess I should know better by now.

I had head in hands at 47s and was jumping off my couch at the siren.

Lots of negativity around here - but you name a team that has won a game down by 6pts with 47s left in the last few years.

Gawn was huge in that last 47s, as was Oliver, Viney, Harmes and sort of Tmac.

Shelve the 4pts, take the lessons learnt and re-launch for next week against an out-of-form West Coast.

Ok I have not seen a second of this game just been on the computer following the scores. When I saw us a goal down I thought we'd lost it then I thought a draw and then saw we got a point. So I see the score and Im happy we got the 4 points.

But obviously it was a terrible game. And the injuries we got don't sound good.

did you listen to the call dees ?

absolutely stoked with the four points, for once we are winning the close ones.

I acknowledge that there is still a lot to work on, forward fifty entries especially however there is still lots to like.

everyone getting stuck in to certain players, performance, effort etc. give it a break! lets enjoy the win and come back even better next week.

love this club, Go Dees!

Never happy!

Rubbish spectacle but we came away with 4 points and a thrilling finish. Take that any day of the week, a win is a win.

Lmao

Comical.

Farcical really. Call me a grinch, but that level of joy inside the coaches box and on the field is nauseating. No way did we deserve to win that.

Hope this doesn’t keep the scrutiny off our backs.

How woeful are we? We won't get within 10 goals of West Coast. But a wins a win enjoy it we won't have too many this year the way things are going Hibberd out a huge blow. Preuss must come in for Keilty.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
