petraccas strength awesome. I was confident in that last pack that he would get it out. Trac is important to our play

Joe boy biased b s. Give credit where it's due ANB was involved with good touch in at least 3 scores

Oh come on. Watch that final play where Petracca won the ball. And ANB with 8 tackles, this is what we have been lacking the past few weeks.

My three word analysis for this match is everytime you beat those bastard Hawks is:

Everyone’s a winner

End of Story.

As one of Alex Neal-Bullen's major detractors, it seems unfair not to acknowlege that he played a good, pretty much error-free game and was a valuable contributer.  Not in the best half dozen players but not far away.

Lockhart: earned more games

Oscar Mcd: Earned Casey games

Harmes: relishes tagging duties

Tom Mcd: Hero to zero

Salem: continues consistent form

Petracca: kicking woes continue

Lewis: slow and untidy

brayshaw: untidy by foot

melksham: costly missed shot

hibberd: returning to form

kielty: 6 touch game.

garlett: missed 2 sitters.

frost: important clutch touches

hore: terrible by foot

gawn: contested all day

wagner: missing persons unit

Fritsch: wasteful by foot

hunt: did his job

stretch: an important goal

Oliver: a quiet 30.

Jones: a costly behind.

Achhh how embarrassing. Too excited! Thanks praha... Won't happen again.

Petracca’s set shot....

I keep reading about these little things Petracca does. How about the big things? Like going back and slotting a very gettable goal, he continues to miss easy set shots. How about when there’s a boundary throw in 30 metres from goal he starts 10 metres defensive side and bursts through the stoppage at pace collecting the tap from Gawn and slots one on the run. Whilst I acknowledge the small things are important in having the complete game some place too much importantance on them to divert away from the fact he is still yet to really deliver. Still very tradeable at this stage.

Trac: hypoxic set shots

Sorry, couldn’t resist. Do think he’s the type that needs to play on instinct. Over-thinking things is not his go.

Yes, very harsh.

Fritch - surprisingly bad form

It was surprising across the game, but there were good efforts and signs, as well. Still, a very good asset in the team and had some stiff opposition against whom he persisted.

  • CASEY: Coburg

The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
