Straight Sets Simon 23,113 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Brisbane look quicker, more skilful, smarter, better coached, better in the air and far better on the ground. Apart from that we’ve been good. 4 1 2

dazzledavey36 56,352 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 We are just slow..sides will absolutely kill us on the outside like Brisbane have. Some worrying signs. 1

Wiseblood 24,637 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 We have been two rotations down since half time, plus we took less players into the game. It will be no surprise if we don't run the game out well. I just don't want any more injuries. 1
Little Goffy 14,973 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Is it just a glitch on the afl site stats, or am I right observing that we have only used 23 players (including JKH who was gone early and Harmes who didn't make it to half time) while Brisbane have used all 26 possible under JLT rules? Frost, Petty and Wagner were all out there for Casey earlier, weren't they?

P-man 13,367 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Second quarter fightback was promising but we’ve been comfortably second best in both games.

Redjacket 760 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 It's only a practice match but if we play like this in the real stuff we can safely book or ski trips in September. 1
Moonshadow 17,678 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Injury tally from both sides now like a cricket score
Lord Travis 10,819 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 We're going to get blown away by quick teams this year. The rules are now designed to create space and promote quick movement. We are a contested ball team that thrive on getting numbers around the ball. When it gets into space, we are one of the slowest teams in the league. Hopefully players like Sparrow and Bedford come on quickly, as we still need genuine leg speed IMO. Disappointing to see us have another team (likely) kick 100+ against us again. We've got a lot of work do on our defensive running. 1

Get a grip mate. It was a block at worst!!! 1
Purple77 1,025 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Not really concerned about this performance. It's incredible how little this matters; just supposed to be a warm-up for the real stuff. ... I like to think I'd be saying the same thing if we were winning by 10 goals, but honestly I can't say for sure :-X 1
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 If only Joel Smith played as well as he looked
Bring-Back-Powell 15,558 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 When’s T Mac due back. I assume he’s missed the JLT series. 1

Chook 15,077 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Haven't seen anything to suggest we'll get near it this year at all. May looks slow and out of position constantly. Lucky it's just preseason but my expectations were shot to pieces on that day at Optus Stadium and they haven't recovered yet.
