My guess, he doesn't like his teeth and is waiting to have them knocked out so the club can buy him a nice new set of implants.

Could have an allergic reaction if there is such a thing.

Insanity, apparently Elliot Yeo took his mouthguard out to have a 'breather' (according to him) and within a minute of not having it in, lost two front teeth.

a lot of afl plsyers dont wear mouth guards actually. I think it's crazy but apparently a lot of players struggle to breath properly with them in.

Tried to wear one once and couldn’t hardly breathe or swallow.

Didnt help that I was super dusty and dry-as after a big night before on the froths.

Btw, Andrew Brayshaw probably thinks they’re overrated as well.

Clarry, as previously reported has or suffers from a little bit of asthma, must love the hot dry windy weather, ie Shepparton last week, having a mouthguard in probaly doesn't help the breathing

Teeth are overrated and easily replaced these days

I never played with one, but then again, I never played football.

Not the sharpest tool in the shed, eh Ethan?!  You're not supposed to PLAY with them.  You stick 'em in your gob!

or lack thereof.

Is he crazy not to wear a mouthguard? I think Reiwoldt also went without mouth protection. Most players seem to wear them. What gives?

??? sinus issues ?  struggling for breath ?

He wore one in his debut game, not sure he's worn one since.

I'm not sure Gawn and Petracca wear them either.

Mouth breathers ?

And what's the deal with almost all AFL players wearing their socks down (aside from Buddy, Walker, Daniher and a few ruckman).

The last Dees to wear socks up were Davey and Jamar off memory.

What happened to the days of "Socks up, jumpers tucked in!"

bring back the garter

Terrible things to wear playing footy. Was always taking it out when not near the ball.

However, if the choice is between discomfort or not having a full set of teeth, I would choose teeth every time.

Handy things teeth particularly for chewing.

My female friends all preferred a mouth with teeth.

Taking out the dentures before bed is never a good look.

I suspect that some of BBO's house maids don't have teeth but that's another matter.

It might not be a matter of them wearing their socks down. It might be that the sock are only that particular size. That is they don't go all the way up to just below the knees anymore. They seem to go to only just above the ankle.

His sixth sense will warn him when the teeth breaking blow is coming.

I always thought your elbows and your fists were supposed to stop one from getting hit in the mouth. Worked for me...

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
