I am assuming you know that because you asked him?

Yes, and I am also lucky enough to be one of his sponsors, I 'own' the left foot???

On the wing spot debate, Baker is back in full training, looks a yard faster, asked him and yes his burst speed has increased, put it down to Crossy and rehab regime

Looking at the photos, Trac is looking spectacular.  People that have asked if he looked fat, I would say that the pictures tell an incredible story.  He looks like a beast.  A ripped one at that.

I find it funny that there was a heated debate over Petracca's body a few weeks ago when I think these pictures (well done Eleanor) show a far greater problem for him.

This can't be a good kicking technique. Plant foot isn't planted. Balancing arm is swirling around in the breeze. Hips and torso aren't aligned.

Compare with Spargo who's very aligned and balanced and you can see why Spargo is a nice accurate quick kick where as Petracca is capable of blasting a superb kick but just as likely to spray it.

Ones kicking whilst on the run, the other is stationary. Also, Petracca’s ball is higher than Spargo’s which to me suggests by the time it drops a little more his plant foot will be fully planted before his master foot makes contact with the ball.

Maybe, maybe not. The photos are consecutive in the album and have the same background so they are likely doing the same drill. Doesn't really matter, I've seen enough of Petracca's kicking to know his action is always imperfect.

Would you prefer to have his perfect body and imperfect kicking action or imperfect body and perfect kicking action?

I wonder if it is all in the hand dropping the ball. Spargo's hand is relaxed and gently moving away from the ball; Tracca's hand is contorted and bent towards his body and less likely to ensure a smooth and even ball drop.

Might be trying too hard. Needs to relax and practice short kicks until the the muscle memory kicks in and the ball drop becomes more relaxed and natural.

I'd go with the body! But I want him to have both!

I can't get behind the paywall (and don't really want to) but there's no way a cortisone injection can be described as a knee op.

It can be thus described if it achieves the goal of missing AFLXREMENT.

Calling '@Webber'...I think we need your professional opinion on this.

When is a minor knee procedure not an op/is an op?????

What could it be that Tommy is having done????

Dunno what’s going on here, but if it’s patellar tendinopathy, any surgery would be to debride (remove and freshen up) the affected bit via arthroscopy. Don’t know why they’re talking about cortisone, it’s not used in tendons now. I suspect it’s something completely other than what’s been confusingly reported, but if they say JLT’s on for him, I believe them. ???

There is no way Trac was that slim at the start of preseason when I was at training.

It’s the haircut, makes him look slimmer?!

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
