Does anyone have any concrete mail on a supposed fight between Hoges and Milkshake at a dinner that required them to be physically separated?

Not strictly trading but have heard whispers that the latest exodus from GC17 is mainly down to Dew Neelding up the joint.

Damn..

GC are going to be the toughest footy club to play against next year?

Sorry, too much time in provincial Philippines with the in-laws.

I had dog caldarreta in the Philippines once.

Menzel only and only if he comes for cheap biscuits and performance contract. Pick 60ish as a trade.

We can give him the 2-years he wants.  Might be handy if we need some depth and goal kicking.  Third forward option deep inside forward 30

Menzel would like our oversupply into fwd 50. Just need to ensure a Spargo or small forward provides to forward chase.

Risk V reward

Menzel isn’t a small forward. He doesn’t apply pressure and I would argue he is akin to Melksham and Hannan - who is a poor mans Melksham.

I would think Garlett would still be closer than Menzel to the best 22...

i keep seeing clitorus...but perhaps that was deliberate?

FM Daniel [censored] Menzel. I question if people actually watch football. He’s the biggest downhill skiing, one way footballer going around.

I must admit I saw it too.

 The elusive one.

Now you see it, now you don't.

Apparantly the real reason Kent is leaving is due to a falling out with Jones over tattoo coverage, Kent was not allowed to go past him.

Who are we trading harmes for next year?

Cannot believe anyone is interested in Menzel.

Even if he was free - as in we didn't have to give up anything and we didn't have to pay him and he didn't take up a spot on our list - I wouldn't want him.

No thank you

What's wrong with Zak Jones I'd take him ahead of Vanders any day.?

I’d be happy for us to keep Vanders over Jones but if we are losing AvB then Jones would be a good return.

He’s an overrated and undisciplined space cadet with a faux tough guy attitude who butchers the ball more than his brother

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
