People, please do not even waste your time on the bias media of ours, they are full of s*#@ and only spout dribble.

Perhaps you mean ‘biased news media’ and ‘drivel’. Did you go to school?

No shortage of irony in a few prominent posters claiming to now by ‘reading the tea leaves’ either having no clue that this was going to happen a few weeks ago, or adamant that it would never happen while they remained above ground.

Talk about run with the foxes and hunt with the hounds!

All fun though. Human nature to want to come out crowing.

I wish you were my dad when I was 17.

Thats incorrect Ethan.

I always get ads for asian dating sites, and I havent visit one of those for about 10 years.

I reckon its connected in some way to the cloud bursting amount of porn I download.

Cant be right... i see the same adds all the time at work and i never have time to watch porn here.

So no further news today, and Jesse is reportedly enjoying himself in Bali. Either it's been done behind closed doors out of the public eye, or he's stuffing both clubs around. The fact he toured Freo's facilities shows his lack of commitment to us, and for that reason I think it's best we try to move him on and get the best deal possible.

I am in Bali. Should I try and find him and get an answer if he is going or staying?

Are you suggesting you're going to visit him and make an offer he can't refuse. But which way.

Yes but free agency is different to uncontacted. He can't just walk for a good deal, the other club still has to figure out a suitable trade.

Theres a new show about to start on Channel 9 called the traded table with Barrett and Lloyd...  looks like its a direct replacement for Footy Classified.

Maybe we will get some new information.   Barrett usually has good mail and Lloyd is good to listen to.

Really don't want Hogan to go. But feel like the most likely scenario will be him going and us getting a first rounder (and maybe a third round pick exchange or something). If he goes and we miss out on May though, then we'll really have stuffed things up. Pretty surprised and disappointed with Hogan in any event. I thought he wanted to be here.

What the media thinks Hogan is worth should be of no consequence to us. If Hogan wants to go to Fremantle we set a not negotiable price. If it's not met he stays with us.

It will be interesting to see what Fremantle demand and get in return for Lachie Neale.

It would seem that Geelong have taken a firm line with Kelly. I hate Geelong but I do admire their recruiting strategies and success with recruiting. We need to take a leaf out of their book. We must not be pushovers.

Bit off topic I know, but I’m no fan of Geelong these days, but I think they are entitled to play hardball with kelly. Funny he’s so desperate to go home but is only interested in WCE. Disingenuous.

I don't think Chook will end up in a legal case but these things are left unsaid.

And I also don't think there's all too much out of the ordinary in any of these Hogan rumours - just Tom Browne doing some muck raking. There's a decent football case to be made for Melbourne trading Hogan and for Freo picking him up. In the end that should prevail.

Well I hardly think he’s going to make his big decision in Bali. Quick tour of Freo’s facilities before flying out, with a nice last minute phone call to his manager telling him to do what it takes as he’s walking to the terminal.

Apologies if this is already up here somewhere...I just cant bring myself to read back 15 pages when nothing has actually happened!

Gary Buckenara in the sun said this about jesses value.

" There is an element of buyer beware with Hogan, however, given he has a long history of injury and illness that would be of concern. Plus there are the attitude issues with his body language and negativity that have been well-documented.I don’t think he’s worth two first-round picks. I place his trade value at an early first-round pick and maybe a swap of second-round picks, but those injury and performance issues impact the Demons’ ability to get a sweetener"

As much as I hate to admit it ( please dont shout at me)  he may well be right. If i think of Oliver leaving  its internal hysteria and wanting to two top 5 picks. Hogan is not affecting me and many here in the same for the reasons I think that Bucky lists.

They said same about Richo and Riewoldt at tigers re attitude.....

OUT - Hogan, Melb 2019 1st Round Future Pick, Pick 33

IN - May, Kade K, Pick 26,

OUT - Freos 2019 1st Round Pick, Dom Tyson, Pick 43

Hope Hogan stays but if he goes we need to get a good deal. Suns will want the Pick 5 for May and not a future 1st round. Reworked below. Otherwise it works.

In May, KK, Ed Langdon, Freo 1st round 2019, Suns 2nd round compo pick 30

out Hogan, Tyson, MFC 1st round 2019, MFC 2nd round pick 40, 3rd Round pick 48 (Crows Lever compo)

Not in a million years would I trade pick 5 for Steven May. Jesus! What a disastrous outcome that would be.

I'd rather take a punt in the draft with talent that high, at least you'll get a decade longer out of them!

So Chook could name names as Jaded asked.

I expect if there was a thread which implied specific naughty behaviour by an unnamed individual and a name was mentioned in a post in the thread without tieing it in any way to the behaviour, you might be in legal trouble because of the context.

You have changed the goal posts and gone beyond the statement you asked me to comment on.

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out
