As a drunk 36 year old sitting at a pub in Amsterdam, I was perusing DL and realised I hadn't seen such a topic. Basically, who's ya boy? Who's jumper number would you get on your back after a 2018 flag? Funnily enough, as a drunk 31 yr old in a pub in Amsterdam, I've pondered this very question a number of times this year. Always went 5 for Schwarta so if I was a kid prob Tracc. Think 31 will get pretty popular again in coming years... 1 1 Quote
Brownie 6,086 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Clarry has me hitting the rewind button more than anyone else. Probably the most skillful player I have ever seen. Right now I'm lovin it when crazy horse frost gets his hands on the ball. Viney for his courage and the way he would run through a brick wall for us. Gus for the way he's come back and improved. Our next captain with Viney once Jones retires I reckon. But geez if we had 40 blokes with the resilience and never say die attitude of Sir Neville Jetta we'd be unbeatable. Every second week he seems to get poleaxed and he just goes again. Never let's a tackle slip. Has to be Nev for mine. 2 Quote
red&blue1982 255 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 You know things are going well when your discussing who's your favorite player. We have so many likable players now, even other supporters like a lot of our players; they're talented, with admired personalities. Without thinking about it too heavily, Jonesy. The amount of times over the years he's wriggled his way free form tackles to find a teammate with me saying 'Jonesy too good' is great. As is he! Quote
Kev 10,928 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Hibbs for me. Brings maturity to a young list. Reads the play beautifully. The backline can set up around his instincts, attack, defend, lock down or get ball. Reliable, good decision maker, makes others better players, rarely makes mistakes and can bring some "x" factor Stays calm, remains humble, leads by example. Quote
DemonWA 3,941 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Lot to like about the whole list these days. Aside from thw obvious ones i really enjoy having Jake Milkshake in the side. Always hated him as a bombers player beacuse he always had a few goals in him, same reason i enjoy watching him play for us 1 Quote
P-man 13,367 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Jeffy remains a favourite despite the lack of job security. It will be a shame if we don't get to see him light up the G in September but understandable given his dip in form. I'll never forget Jones' service during the dark times and for that he'll always be a favourite. Vines, Nev and Clarry. Self explanatory. Vanders aka vandenFyfe aka the Punisher is rocketing to the top of my list. As Darcy would say, I love the way he goes about it. Oh and Fritta. Ah to hell with it. I love em all. 1 1 Quote

chook fowler 19,778 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 It’s like choosing your favourite child but on present form James Harmes is becoming one I like to watch the most mainly because of his exponential growth as a player. He has been critical to our recent form by locking down the opposition best mid and getting plenty of his own damaging ball. 3 Quote
Demonised 1,379 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Max, for lots of reasons, just ahead of Clayton. Quote
pinkshark 950 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Captain Jones all day. A warrior. 1 Quote
Deestroy All 14,266 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Salem. Because I can’t split Nev and Clayton. Quote
At Least I Saw a Flag 5,353 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 There is a bit of love for Tommy Mac on here. He's my favourite too. 1 Quote
Nasher 33,686 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Love me an underdog that comes good. 2 Quote
Chook 15,070 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Tom McDonald. Hence my avatar. Looks like me. Plays like I wish I could play if I were a little taller. Actually plays like my dad a bit, from all reports. So basically, I'm a narcissist. 1 Quote
Little Goffy 14,971 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Huge respect for Neville Jetta. Love knowing how much it must annoy Essendon supporters that Melksham is doing so well now. But you can look back over years of my posts and you'll see, it has been Angus Brayshaw at the top for me for a long time. Quote
junk 342 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 hunt and harmes- both were late picks, possibly backups to brayshaw and petracca. Quote
deegirl 1,586 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Very hard to split Oliver and Brayshaw but Oliver is just ahead for me, haven't loved a player this much since I first saw a young no52 from Shepparton. Quote
3Dee 1,153 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Hard to go past Nev when he rarely blunders the ball nor loses a contest. Quote
Dees'97 52 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Oscar McDonald. Gives it 100% every week and is very resilient. At the footy when he wins his 1v1 nobody really gets behind him, so I love to give a good shout of "onya omac!". 1 Quote
DeezNuts 624 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Frost and AVB - loving what they're contributing back there without Lever. Stepping up when the stepping up was required! Quote
hells bells 2,023 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Clarry - he’s a different level of special. Quote
