The message from the club is clear; Ticketek have stuffed up and are trying to re-boot their system.  There are still tickets in the club's allocation and will be available once the system is uploaded again.  We will be notified by social media when this has occurred.

The games will be put on sale at different times (genius)

MCC tickets confirmed sold out.

Member tickets and General admission NOT sold out, but still are not available.

SEN just said AFL members tickets will now be on sale TOMORROW

Got through using the mobile version for a brief moment just before 1.00. Ticketek couldn't allocate two tickets in any section I chose, even up to $93.00. Now it tells me "member's tickets are no longer on sale".

The website version just sits there going through 15 second cycles.

Now the site says club member tickets are no longer on sale - really?

I presume that is because the so-called members' pre-sale was 9.00 to 1.00. General public is from 2.00 onwards, so I presume that is the reason.

What a sh!tfight !! ?‍♂️

Perhaps Gill and Steve can trial sime changes to Ticketek system before next season... Suspect this be more important to fans enjoyment of the game than a longer goal square!!!

Just repeating SL's post: the two  MCG finals will be released at different times.

Club members sale no longer available.

I have been trying to get on the Ticketek site since 9am. Once I finally got through it was impossible to select any number of tickets in any area or category. You just couldn't purchase.

Ticketek are a joke, this has been a very frustrating morning!

This is absolutley pathetic.

That's nice to know seeing as I couldn't get on to the site.

I know they won't care, in fact don't care but who is the moron that put all the ticket on sale on the same day.

Seriously no one in power gives a flying f....

It matters little to them as the tickets will still be sold at the end of the day....

I did hear on SEN that they were going to stagger the club member sales later this afternoon, didn't say when though.

Just paid my MCC subs for next season. Although not in a position to do so, I've never been happier coughing up $800

I've been busy focussing on tickets...

Anyone know if Gill has shown his face? Haven't heard any grabs of him on recent news

#where'sgilly?

Probably riding his pony down at Portsea, oblivious to it all.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
