He has been a leader down there for longer than that and more importantly I think the other backs love and respect him. I suspect he gets that from all the team. A man comfortable in his skin and his role as a leader. 1 Quote
Graeme Yeats' Mullet 6,791 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Contested ball animal ? Love the Jett! 1 Quote
Ethan Tremblay 31,388 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Much love for this guy. Hope he stays on at the club in some role post-playing career. 1 Quote

monoccular 17,760 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Well done Neville Shows what dedication and hard work can do. Next task - mentoring Dion Johnstone to become a worthy successor: by all accounts some inroads have already been made. Some symmetry perhaps: Nev was dropped to the rookie list and thrived, whilst Dion looked to be gone but a change of role (like Nev from forward to defense) may make the grade, perhaps. 2 Quote
Little Goffy 14,953 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 I bet the actual document was placed on the wrong side of a table that should've been far to big for him to reach across, but somehow he still managed to get a fist to it. The world needs a more superlative term for the kind of rock-solid respect that Neville Jetta has so thoroughly earned. 4 Quote

Oscar McDonald was 50cm away and couldn't impact the contest because he didn't react and leave his agent quick enough to impact the contest/contract-signing. 1 Quote

Heheh, yes, I was thinking much the same: it was probably someone else's meeting but they didn't turn up and Nev had to run across the hall to get there. 1 Quote

Mach5 4,768 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Has been quieter in recent weeks due to niggles, but still gets the job done, week after week. Proud to have him at the club. 1 Quote
DeeZone 10,584 Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 Well deserved Nev, you have won the uttermost respect of your team and supporter group, what a tough / reliable / dependable player you have become...............!!!!!! Quote
Lil_red_fire_engine 11,382 Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 Well deserved. No player more consistently impacts games in his role than Nev. Quote
SFebes 4,884 Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 When we lost, the first thing I felt was sadness for Nev. Once again the only one desperately trying to save the game and spoil at the end. I'm unsure where our talls were positioned but a part of me thinks that is exactly where Gawn would have been, but he was off with a scratch (didn't get sent off with blood rule from memory?) Quote
